Do Harry Styles’ Movie Commitments Mean No One Direction Reunion This Week?
One Direction fans have been hoping that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan would be reunited this coming weekend. Harry and his bandmates are nominated for two Billboard Music Awards, and the awards show takes place this weekend in Las Vegas.
Fans were disappointed back in February when, as reported by the Mirror, Harry did not attend the Brit Awards with Louis and Liam, so they will be hoping that Styles will join the rest of the boys for Billboards showpiece gala. Sadly, it seems that Styles fans are set to be disappointed again.
It has been widely reported that Styles is to appear in his first feature movie. Harry is playing a soldier in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, which is due for release in July 2017. The movie that gives Styles his silver screen bow tells the story of the evacuation of allied troops from Dunkirk during World War II. The movie will launch Styles’ acting career, and many believe that the success of Harry’s solo endeavors will be a major factor in deciding if and when One Direction will reform.
According to IMDb, filming for Dunkirk started last weekend, so it would seem that Styles is likely to have filming commitments that may well preclude a visit to Las Vegas for the Billboard Music awards. It seems that filming may indeed have started because pictures have already leaked to the internet that claim to show Harry relaxing off-set dressed in an army uniform.

J-14 claim that these are the first photographs of Harry that have emerged so far. They are not of great quality, and the 22-year-old singer appears to have his head bent forward in most of the shots. While the picture of Harry may not be conclusive, the lady sitting over Styles’ shoulder is easily recognized. Widely believed to be part of One Direction’s management team, she has been photographed with members of One Direction on hundreds of occasions.
Styles fans may well be wondering why a member of One Direction’s management team is on location with Harry. After all, Styles is reported to have sacked both Modest Management and HJPR to sign with Jeff Azoff and Dawbell PR for his solo work. Harry’s fans will be wondering if this means that Styles has not broken all links with Simon Cowell and One Direction’s management.

If one subject has caused more gossip than Styles appearing in a movie, it is the subject of what would happen to Harry’s hair when filming started. With its usual biting insight, the Daily Mail reports that Harry’s recent crop is because of his movie role. As reported by the Inquisitr last week, Styles made sure that the loss of his long locks did some good.
Continuing a long tradition of support for charities, Harry posted a picture of his cut-off hair on Instagram and publicized Little Princess Trust at the same time. The charity provides wigs made from real hair to children who have lost their hair as a result of cancer treatment. Harry’s post attracted one million “likes” in just a couple of hours.
In other Harry Styles news, BBC News report that OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder has told Harry’s pal Nick Grimshaw that he has been collaborating with both Harry and Ed Sheeran.
“Last time I was in London I had this thing set up at the Corinthia Hotel, it was amazing.
“I had Ed Sheeran in there, we were writing for him, Harry Styles came through. It was this revolving door and everyone I had in there, I thought, ‘I prefer this to working in a studio’.”
The question that will be on the lips of many Styles fans is whether or not this means that Tedder and Sheeran are collaborating with Harry for his much-touted solo album. Time will tell.
