Caitlyn Jenner Reacts To Rob Kardashian’s Baby News

When Caitlyn Jenner was honored at the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, it would have been quite understandable for the 66-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star to keep the focus on herself. But Jenner had something a lot more exciting on her mind than her own well-deserved recognition. Caitlyn wanted to talk about the latest Kardashian baby news. According to gossip site Perez Hilton, Jenner “couldn’t help but gush” all about her ex- wife Kris Jenner’s baby boy, Rob Kardashian.

Jenner made a point of sharing her personal feelings about Kardashian and how well he is coping with going through a huge number of changes. As the only Kardashian boy in the blended Kardashian-Jenner family of six, Rob hasn’t always had it easy. Recently, though, Rob has worked hard to better himself, and Caitlyn wanted to honor that about her step-son. The I Am Cait star spoke with ET Online to make sure fans know how “proud” she is of Kardashian.

“You know, everybody goes through tough times in their life and deals with a lot of different things. I always look at it as ‘Everybody has their stuff,’ you know? It’s how you deal with your stuff, and how you come out the other end.”

In Caitlyn’s eyes, Rob is dealing very well with his stuff and finally really getting it together as an adult.

“Things are going well,” Jenner added during the interview at the GLAAD awards where she talked about Kardashian.

So well, in fact, that the International Business Times writes that the Caitlyn is “over the moon” about the news that Blac Chyna and Rob are expecting a new baby.

Caitlyn is “one of the first” in the family to openly support Rob and Blac’s baby news. She’s even happy about their plans to get married later this summer. That certainly reflects Rob’s delight at the baby news and his general feeling that things are becoming very “exciting” all at once. Rob earlier told E! News that he was happy but preferred to keep that happiness more private than the rest of the Kardashians seem to do.

“It’s my first time, so everything is exciting. Literally, I’m happy, and I just like to keep it private… as private as can be.”

The rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family have had different reactions to Rob and Chyna’s whirlwind relationship. The New York Daily News reports that Tyga spoke out to TMZ on his support for Rob Kardashian. It probably wasn’t easy for Tyga to say kind things since Blac is his ex, and the two have a child together already. On top of that, Tyga is still probably hurting from his breakup with Rob’s youngest stepsister, Kylie Jenner, earlier this month. But for all that, Tyga had good words for Rob Kardashian’s baby plans.

“People grow and it’s time to evolve. Everybody should have the opportunity to have love and to live their life.”

Caitlyn has a lot of empathy for people going through changes, of course. With her very recent experience of transitioning from Bruce to Caitlyn and the wide variety of reactions Caitlyn experienced from KUWTK fans and the wider world, Jenner is in a good position to understand some of what Rob is going through now that he and Blac are expecting a baby. Rob is lucky to have a stepmom like Caitlyn to support him as he grows up and takes on such very adult responsibilities.

“It has been quite a ride for the past year. And there is nothing better in life than living your life authentically.”
