WWE Rumors: The Return Date Of Brock Lesnar To TV Is Now Known — Who Will The Beast Target?

The injuries that have decimated the WWE roster over the course of the past year have really affected a lot of things. Many big names have been on the sideline for months, but a few of their returns are right around the corner. Having some superstars on limited schedules hasn’t helped matters either, but one of those particular stars will be back soon, and it appears as if the TV return date of Brock Lesnar is now known.

It was WrestleMania 32 when fans last saw Brock Lesnar, and that ended a solid three months of him appearing time and time again. That came to a halt once he defeated Dean Ambrose in a No Holds Barred Street Fight, and fans are wondering when the beast will be seen again.

About a month ago, it was revealed that he would be on the card for a WWE live event in Honolulu, Hawaii, on June 29. It’s not known if that will be a WWE Network live special, a house show, or if the plan still calls for him to be on the card, as that is always subject to change.

No matter what happens at the end of June, Lesnar is going to be back on WWE television shortly after that event.

According to Cageside Seats, Lesnar’s return to TV will be in either late June or early August, and that is to begin his next feud. The program will lead to his big-time return match at SummerSlam, and it is expected to be one of the headliners.

Now, it’s not exactly known who Lesnar will target upon his return, but there were some plans in place earlier this year. It was originally thought that he would go on to face either Bray Wyatt or Braun Strowman at SummerSlam, but those plans may have changed and things could now be very different.

Actually, a lot of plans have changed for The Wyatt Family, but fans are still hoping for a Wyatt vs. Lesnar feud in the future.

According to Forbes, a feud with Wyatt and a match at SummerSlam is still a possibility, but it isn’t set in stone. A few other possible options are Kevin Owens and John Cena, but those are just assumptions at this point.

If Roman Reigns is still in possession of the WWE World Heavyweight Title, it would make a lot of sense for Lesnar to go after the belt again. While some don’t believe his time was wasted in his feud with Dean Ambrose, it is also believed that he’s even more impressive when he’s chasing the greatest prize in WWE.

Still, one has to wonder if WWE would feed Reigns to Lesnar once again. He already destroyed him at WrestleMania 31, and now he’s been built up to be a credible champion. Putting him up against Brock Lesnar may not be a very believable match-up or one that fans even really care to see again.

While Brock Lesnar was indeed advertised for the Hawaii event at one point, WWE may hold off on his in-ring return until he’s back on TV.

Right after the Hawaii event, the company is heading to Tokyo for two live events on July 1 and July 2. Those cards are already set, and Lesnar is nowhere to be found on either one of them. WWE may hold off to make his return that much better.

WWE has already used up a lot of dates for Brock Lesnar in 2016, and it’s good that he has been off TV for a while and still will be. Keeping him as a limited time attraction and making his appearances more sporadic means that fans will appreciate him even more. Having Lesnar’s return still a couple of months away and then having him back for SummerSlam will make the anticipation of his comeback even greater.
