Gwyneth Paltrow And Ex Chris Martin Reunite To Celebrate Daughter’s Birthday At Disneyland

Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin proved once again that they are willing to set aside their differences for their children. The former couple, along with their children – Moses, 10, and Apple, 12 – went to Disneyland to celebrate the latter’s birthday, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

Gwyneth took to Instagram to mark the occasion, sharing a photo of herself and Chris hanging out at the California theme park.

“When your parents can’t handle #thundermountain anymore so they wait for you at the bottom. #disneyland #thehappiestplaceonearth#birthdayweekend,” Paltrow captioned.

Both parents were seen with their two children and some of their friends at the theme park. Martin was photographed joining her daughter in one of the rides.

Gwyneth and Chris “consciously uncoupled” in March 2014 after more than 10 years of marriage. It was a whirlwind relationship many thought would last forever, but alas, fate had something else in store for them. The split, however, was nothing short of congenial. While the separation was undoubtedly painful for both, the two continued to stay friends and showed their full commitment to remain so for the sake of their children.

As Paltrow told Marie Claire, “There was nothing dramatic or anything. I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore.”

“We loved each other very much and we still do love each other and we have these two beautiful children together,” Paltrow told Red magazine when she was asked about her current relationship with Martin. “It’s also almost about having to press the ‘override’ button whenever you feel angry or jealous or whatever, broken-hearted. You have to press the button – I’m going back to the baseline of I love this person, he’s the father of my children, he’s a wonderful man. I’m just going to put my s**t aside for right now.”

The split between Paltrow and Martin was so amicable that it took some time for both of them to sign any legal papers. Gwyneth filed for divorce as early as April 2015, but Chris didn’t sign the papers until the previous month.

As reported by TMZ, the reason why the Coldplay frontman got delayed in signing the papers is because he and Gwyneth wanted to agree on a settlement before filing any documents that might draw attention to themselves.

“Under the deal, Chris and Gwyneth get joint custody of 11-year-old Apple and 9-year-old Moses. They have worked out a property division and all that’s left is for the judge to sign off,” the site explains.

Paltrow is currently dating TV producer Brad Falchuk while Martin is hitting it off with Peaky Blinders star Annabelle Wallis.

Aside from their Disneyland outing, Martin and Paltrow’s daughter also celebrated her birthday earlier in the weekend by having a sleepover and brunch with friends, which included none other than Beyonce’s daughter, Blue Ivy. Paltrow took a photo of the sleepover and shared it via Instagram.

“Birthday brunch squad #godsistersandbesties,” captioned Paltrow.

On top of raising her kids, Gwyneth keeps herself busy with her lifestyle website Goop, a publication she launched in September 2008. The Academy-award winning actress had her share of infamy after she made a recommendation via Goop that women steam their vaginas.

“The real golden ticket here is the Mugwort V-Steam. You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al.”

Medical experts were quick to debunk Paltrow’s claims as to the health benefits of vaginal steaming. Dr. Ann Robinson of Guardian said that vaginal steaming “isn’t necessary.” Dr. Robinson added that the water vapor in steam isn’t a good idea, either, since water washes away natural oils which are responsible for keeping the vagina lubricated, thus preventing cuts and irritation.
