Beyonce And Gwyneth Paltrow’s Girls Enjoy A Birthday Sleepover

Girls just want to have fun, or at least that’s the case for Beyonce’s little one, Blue Ivy, and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple. Four-year-old Blue joined Apple’s 12th birthday party Saturday while her mother performed at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl for her Formation World Tour. The two girls who were revealed as godsisters in an Instagram share by Gwyneth, where the two donned simple sleep attire as they shared a photo with fellow partygoers.

This is not the first time the two have hung out; Apple also accompanied Blue during Chris Martin and Beyonce’s infamous Super Bowl half time performance.

While the long time friendship between the Queen Bey and legendary actress may seem unlikely for some, it is not so far fetched. During an interview on the popular Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2010, Paltrow discussed the pair’s instant bond. The couple met many years ago at a benefit event in New York years back.

“We just kind of hooked up and became really close, and they’re incredible people. They’re very, very kind, generous, good good people.” Paltrow reported on the relationship between her and then husband, Chris Martin, and Beyonce and Jay Z.

The couples got along so well that during the mid-2000s, according to a report by E! News, Chris and Gwyneth were regularly seen at the infamous singer’s concerts and the rapper’s performances. They were even in attendance at Jay Z and Beyonce’s wedding in 2008. Fortunately, things remained civil among the foursome after Chris and Gwyneth split. Chris has since collaborated with Beyonce, and as stated, joined her for the Super Bowl. Gwyneth has also remained involved in Chris’s career. She lent her vocals on her ex-hubby’s album A Head Full of Dreams.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Good?

But Beyonce is not the only partner in this pair staying busy; Paltrow has remained true to her brand, Goop. Back in 2014, Gwyneth was criticized for her claims that she had it harder than most traditional mothers in spite of her financial success.

“It’s much harder for me, I feel like I set it up in a way that makes it difficult because … for me, like if I miss a school run, they are like, ‘Where were you?’ I don’t like to be the lead so I don’t (have) to work every day, you know, I have little things that I like and obviously I want it to be good and challenging and interesting, and be with good people and that kind of thing…I think it’s different when you have an office job, because it’s routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening. When you’re shooting a movie, they’re like, ‘We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,’ and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult. I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it’s not like being on set.”

But recently, the actress has been redeemed and her brainchild, Goop, has been on an upswing with a mix of reviews. While many see the publication that claims to offer simple, basic and affordable household and lifestyle tips, most find it only appropriate for the well-to-do. In her past publications, Paltrow gave readers insight on homeopathic, macrobiotic recipes, $15,000 dildos, uterine cleanses and even vegan condoms. Now, the star of movies like Shallow Hal and Seven is preparing for a follow-up sex issue with tips ranging from pelvic floor training to healing after sexual trauma.

With successful moms like Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow leading them, there are no limits to what Blue Ivy and Apple will venture into. Stay tuned!
