Paige VanZant Performing With Boyfriend On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Paige VanZant will get an opportunity that her fellow competitors won’t have during Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars semifinals: The UFC fighter will get to share a passionate embrace with her real-life love interest during one of her two routines.

Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas had to choose an available Dancing with the Stars pro to join them for their trio routine, and Just Jared is reporting that they recruited troupe member Alan Bersten to dance with Team Pow Right In The Kisser during the extremely competitive semi-finals. According to Entertainment Tonight, 22-year-old Paige and 21-year-old Alan are currently dating.

“They just got to know one another during the show and rehearsal [and] they took a liking to one another,” a DWTS insider revealed. “They aren’t really showing it off, but they are definitely interested in one another.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Paige VanZant and Alan Bersten spent a lot of time together earlier in the season. Mark Ballas injured his back during the second week of competition, and he hand-picked Alan to dance in his place. Even though it was Alan’s first time dancing with a celebrity one-on-one, he and Paige topped the leaderboard with their sexy Salsa routine.

Alan’s amazing performance under intense pressure likely secured him a future slot in Mark and Paige’s trio routine, and it also gave him an opportunity to sweep Paige off her feet. Paige VanZant and Alan Bersten have been spotted getting pretty cozy during the Dancing with the Stars cast’s weekly after-parties at Mixology 101 in Los Angeles, and they also enjoyed a beach date earlier this month.

For their trio routine, Paige VanZant, Mark Ballas, and Alan Bersten will be dancing a Samba to “Hip Hip Chin Chin” by Club Des Belugas during tomorrow night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars. For their second routine, Mark and Paige will perform an Argentine Tango to “One Time” by Marian Hill.

As Broadway World reports, there will be a double elimination during tomorrow night’s semi-finals, but Paige VanZant is hoping that her consistent high scores and Mark’s creativity can carry them to the finals. During an interview with MMAjunkie, Paige said that he really wants to perform one of Mark Ballas’ beloved freestyle routines before the show ends.

“I’ve seen some of Mark’s past freestyles, and they’re all amazing. I’m really hoping I can live up to his expectations and the dances he produces. But every week, it’s just about making it through the week we’re on. So I’ve got to make it through this week to make it to the final.”

For last week’s dance, Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas performed a Game of Thrones-inspired Viennese Waltz to Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold.” As UFC.com reports, judge Bruno Tonioli called the routine “chilling and thrilling,” and Len Goodman praised Paige for being a “terrific dancer.” However, the creative concept and Ice Queen costume weren’t enough to help Paige earn the top spot on the leaderboard. Her score of 28 out of 30 landed her in third place behind Nyle DiMarco (29) and Ginger Zee (30). Even though Paige has earned a perfect score, she’s been in jeopardy before. Nyle and Ginger have not, so there’s a chance that Paige could be a surprise elimination tomorrow night.

The other two remaining celebrities are Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris, who has also been in jeopardy, and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. Wanya was consistently a top scorer until a small slip-up last Monday night, and Antonio has been working hard and improving each week. At this point, it really looks like the competition is anyone’s game.

If Paige VanZant does go home tomorrow night, at least she’ll get one more chance to dance with Alan Bersten. You can check out their trio routine when Dancing with the Stars airs Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
