Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Break-Up Rumor: ‘Bachelor’ Couple Shoots Down Reports Of A Potential Split

Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are taking on the ever-growing rumors of a break-up, with the Bachelor couple shooting down reports that they’re fighting and instead showing off their budding romance.

The couple has been surrounded by break-up rumors dating back even before the end of this season of The Bachelor, as spoilers indicated that Ben’s lingering feelings for runner-up JoJo Fletcher would doom the couple. Ben had a very difficult time picking between Lauren and JoJo and shared “I love yous” with both women before ultimately deciding on Lauren.

The break-up rumors have intensified as the show ended and Ben and Lauren finally started living as a public couple. Lauren left her home in L.A. to live with Ben in his native Colorado, but sources said she hasn’t taken the transition very well and feels that she has no purpose living there.

Ben was unhappy as well, a source told OK! magazine.

“He’s begged Lauren to get a job, get settled and make a new life for herself, but she just sits at home all day while he works,” a source said.

Around the same time, Ben and Lauren were spotted having a fight in a Home Depot parking lot.

But now Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are addressing those rumors head-on. In an interview on the Rick Lewis Show, the couple explained that they weren’t really fighting at Home Depot, but instead were talking about paint colors and pillows.

And as the rumors swirl in celebrity tabloids, Lauren Bushnell has also been using her own power to push back against them. She has used her Instagram page to speak directly to her 1 million followers, showing pictures of herself and Ben as a happy and normal couple.

Last week, she shared a picture of the couple together and a sweet message about missing Ben on Mother’s Day.

“I’m not one to get all sentimental but Ben flew home yesterday while I stayed with my family to celebrate Mothers Day and it was the first day we’ve spent apart in a few weeks. The second he left I felt a piece of me missing. I can’t wait to get home today to the most amazing person I’ve ever met. I’m so thankful for you, Ben.”

The couple has also been very lovey in their public appearances, including a PDA-filled visit to the iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, Texas, at the end of April.

They have more public appearances scheduled for the coming weeks as well, indicating that they aren’t planning to make any big relationship changes in the near future.

Lauren has some backup in her battle against the break-up rumors now, as HollywoodTake noted that the relationship is “doing fine.”

In fact, there is a chance that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell may actually end up in a place few Bachelor or Bachelorette couples have gone — all the way down the aisle. While the majority of couples end up splitting up, Ben and Lauren have talked often about marriage and their impending plans for a wedding.

Hollywood Gossip noted that the topic came up during a joint interview at Indiana University, with Lauren saying they don’t have to have a long engagement.

“We’ve been engaged now for a lot longer than when the show ended, so I’m ready to at least start planning… Maybe by the end of this year.”

There is even some talk that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell could end up getting married in a televised wedding, something Bachelor fans haven’t seen since Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici got hitched in 2014.
