Tyga Speaks On Kylie Jenner Split: ‘I Love Her’

It seems as if the Kardashian-Jenner women have a whole slew of exes who still love them.

For example, Scott Disick still loves Kourtney Kardashian, Lamar Odom is rumored to still love Khloe Kardashian, and on Saturday, Tyga confirmed that he still loves Kylie Jenner.

TMZ caught up with Tyga at LAX on Friday, where Tyga said he and the 18-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star are focused on different things.

“We’re both just focused on our individual lives right now, and sometimes things don’t work out. But I love her.”

On Thursday, TMZ broke the news that Kylie and Tyga had broken up earlier this month. The pair, who had been involved in an on-again off-again relationship for nearly two years, were last seen together in public at the Met Gala on May 2.

Throughout their relationship, the rapper and the reality TV starlet faced an overwhelming amount of drama. In the beginning, the pair were criticized because they allegedly began dating when Jenner was only 17-years-old. Neither confirmed their relationship until after Kylie’s 18th birthday.

Later, Jenner dealt with adversity when Tyga’s ex-fiancée, Blac Chyna, began to attack Kylie via social media. Often, Blac and Kylie were at odds because Blac alleged that Kylie and Tyga began dating before Blac and Tyga had officially split. Additionally, there was tension between Chyna and Jenner because Tyga and Chyna have a son together, 3-year-old King Cairo Stevenson.

All along, there was more than enough drama between Blac and Kylie to keep the two women in the headlines, but the drama reached another level when earlier this year, Blac Chyna began dating Kylie’s older half-brother, Rob Kardashian. Within months, Rob and Blac were engaged, and just a few weeks later, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby.

In the process, Blac Chyna and Kylie Jenner put aside their feud as Kylie reportedly accepted the situation and decided to welcome the new Kardashian baby with open arms, all while supporting her brother.

According to some outlets, it was the relationship between Rob and Blac that finally did the “Kyga” relationship in. A source told People that the new relationship “shook up” Kylie and Tyga, though the unnamed source for People acknowledged that Kylie Jenner and Tyga had relationship problems before Blac and Rob ever came along.

“It shook up Kylie and Tyga’s relationship. It was definitely uncomfortable and there were plenty of hurt feelings on Kylie’s part.”

The source went on to say that Kylie felt like she was in an “incestuous relationship.” Admittedly, after Rob and Blac announced their pregnancy, much was made about the unique familial relationship between Blac Chyna’s first son with Kylie’s previous boyfriend and her second child with Kylie’s brother.

“The drama really started to get to Kylie. She couldn’t get it off her mind. She almost felt like she was in an incestuous relationship. She figured it’d be best to just drop it and move on with her life so she wouldn’t have to worry about all the emotional baggage that came along with that situation anymore.”

All that being said, it’s worth noting that Kylie Jenner and Tyga have broken up before. In November, the pair split on Tyga’s 26th birthday, only to get back together a few days later.
