‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Finale: ‘Steroline’ Fans To Get Answers About Stefan And Caroline’s Relationship
The Vampire Diaries Season 7 had a huge shift with many of the couples. This includes Stefan Salvatore and Caroline Forbes. What can TVD fans expect in the episode titled “Gods & Monsters?” Executive producer Julie Plec revealed a small tidbit regarding “Steroline.”
Earlier this season, TVD fans were not happy with Stefan. Although the vampire was marked and Rayna was after Stefan, he abandoned Caroline. He used the excuse that he saw how happy she was with Alaric and the twins. However, Caroline had every right to be upset, especially since Stefan just bailed without saying a word.
During the last episode of The Vampire Diaries, Caroline ended up being marked by Bonnie, who is the new vampire huntress. On the run with Stefan, Caroline was not interested in talking about their former relationship. The TVD character only revealed that Stefan broke her heart. Besides her emotional response, Caroline refused to say if she had any real feelings for Alaric.

So, what can be expected from “Steroline” in The Vampire Diaries Season 7 finale? It turns out that “Steroline” shippers will get some answers about the future of Stefan and Caroline’s relationship. That is, if the couple even have a future together.
“By the end of this episode,” Julie Plec teased about “Steroline,” according to Entertainment Weekly, “we will absolutely understand where their relationship is going to go or not go moving forward.”
According to the press release for “Gods & Monsters” from The CW network, Stefan and Caroline will be focused on helping Bonnie. However, a sneak peek shows Caroline wanting to say something to Stefan when they enter the vault. The video clip reveals that Stefan doesn’t want his former girlfriend saying a word until everything is over.

That isn’t all that has been revealed about “Steroline” in The Vampire Diaries Season 7 finale. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Stefan tells Caroline that they might need help from the Gemini twins. However, will Alaric agree to the plan?
“Steroline” is not the only couple that will have a storyline in “Gods & Monsters.” In another sneak peek for “Gods & Monsters,” Damon enters the vault and mentions Elena’s name. This led to fans wondering if “Delena” would be back. However, co-executive producer and writer Brian Young teased to TV Guide that isn’t the case. His statement made it sound like Damon may be tricked by the monster in the vault. It has used this tactic before, luring victims inside by using a voice of their loved ones.
The CW’s press release for “Gods & Monsters” reveals even more information on what to expect from Caroline, Stefan, Damon, Bonnie, and Enzo.
“Despite their best efforts to help Bonnie (Kat Graham) through the harrowing predicament she now faces, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Caroline (Candice King) realize their options are running out and drastic measures need to be taken. With their only chance of saving their friend lying inside the Armory, Stefan (Paul Wesley) breaks the news to Caroline that they may need help from an unlikely source – her and Alaric’s twin daughters,” Spoiler TV teased about the upcoming episode of TVD. “Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) keeps Bonnie preoccupied by bringing her back to their cabin but when his plan takes an unexpected turn, it’ll be up to Damon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his closest friends.”
