Adam Levine Wants ‘100 Children,’ More Babies Than Is ‘Socially Responsible’

Adam Levine, the frontman of Maroon 5 and a coach on The Voice since 2011, is also going to be adding “first-time father” to his list of credentials very soon. It was first made public by Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo, back in March that they are expecting their first child together, but according to Hello Magazine, Prinsloo is not the only one sporting a baby bump.

Adam Levine shared a funny photo for his fans recently via his Instagram account showing himself and his wife comparing their growing tummies. The photo delighted fans as it showed the couple posing together while touching each other’s bellies. The mirror selfie of Adam Levine and his wife had a caption written by Levine joking that he is “finally popping” now that they are 20 weeks pregnant, jokingly insinuating that he is pregnant too.

The journey of Levine and his wife through this pregnancy started shortly after revealing in March that they were expecting a child, according to Hello Magazine.

Just a few weeks later, Levine shared the first photo of his wife’s actual baby bump, calling Prinsloo and his son his two favorite Lakers fans. The child will be the first child of the couple who married in July 2014, with the baby due to be born on September 20. Rumors are also circulating that the child will be a girl, but so far, Adam Levine has not revealed the sex of the baby or even whether he and his wife plan on finding out the sex prior to the birth.

Adam opened up on the joyful journey into the path of parenthood, revealing how much his wife enjoyed watermelons, among many other things.

“She’s eating a lot of watermelon. A LOT of watermelon. Because, you know, they get random cravings for stuff and it’s just like, so much watermelon!”

Both Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo were very open about their desire to start a family together, even prior to their pregnancy announcement. Just one month after their wedding, Adam Levine revealed that he and his wife were both keen on the idea of having children.

He revealed in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that they were surely going to be having at least one child, going further to say that if he had the chance he would have 100 children, joking that he’d like to have more kids than it would be “socially responsible.” Adam Levine’s exaggerations when a long way towards showing his joy and excitement at the prospect of soon becoming a father with his new spouse. Luckily for the Voice coach, his wife shared his enthusiasm, and it wasn’t long before the pregnancy announcement came.

Behati Prinsloo spoke on the idea of a family and what it means to her.

“You know, I’ve always, since a little girl always wanted a family, a big family. I’m an only child so I wanted like, ten kids for sure.”

Being a singer on top of being a father, Adam Levine has felt the passing of Prince a little more than some people because, according to OK! magazine, he looked at Prince as an idol.

In the week that Prince passed away, the Voice coaches talked about their fondest memories of Prince. Howard Stern released a video on the internet of Levine covering Prince’s “Purple Rain” at his birthday party.

Adam Levine spoke on the passing of Prince and how he influenced him.

“Prince was a huge, huge influence on me as an artist. Just the way he did things his own way, always, and the music was so wild and completely different. I’ll miss the guy.”

While there really is no silver lining in the passing of someone as iconic as Prince, Levine believes that the legend’s passing would at least give people a chance to see the greatness of his legacy when they listen to his songs.
