Kanye West: Kim Kardashian Is Just Like O.J. ‘Wifey gonna kill me’

Kanye West has found himself at the center of hip-hop related controversy once again. Yeezy was asked to help out with Schoolboy Q’s song “That Part,” and according to TMZ, West’s lines are already blowing up the internet.

Well known for his social trouble-making by way of his lyrics, as was the case with last year’s Taylor Swift “Famous” debacle, West has again told the world how he really feels by way of not-so-subtle lyrics. According to Rolling Stone, things got a little hairy in Kanye’s mind as he wrote the lyric. Kanye only wrote and delivered one line for the track, but it’s a real doozy and really speaks to West’s feelings about his home life.

The words are pretty specific, not just to how Kanye feels, but also to who is the object of those feelings. The part of the line that caught everyone’s attention brings up some old wounds, as Kanye raps “Wifey gonna kill me, she the female O.J.” Not only is this a clear statement by Kanye that he and his wife, Kim Kardashian, aren’t getting along any better, but also a dig at Kim herself.

The Kardashian family, in large part, owes its considerable fame to the infamous O.J. Simpson case, for which Kim’s own daddy, the late Robert Kardashian, was the defending attorney. A low blow, perhaps, but also a very revealing insight into Kanye and Kim‘s personal relationship. This isn’t the first time that Kanye has dropped a controversial lyric, but gossip site Perez Hilton points out that it might be the most specific and consequential.

The track features a particularly dark beat, laid down by none other than industry big names Cubeatz, YeX, and Cardo. The dark beat isn’t the outlier, either. The whole track has a very specific feeling, and it’s clear that Schoolboy Q was working through some stuff when he put it all together. Dark it may be, but “THat Part” is filled with some pretty clear messages from both Schoolboy, and his friend Kanye, who talk about their lives throughout.

Earlier in the week on Thursday, Kanye tweeted Schoolboy Q with a reference from another well known hip-hop piece. The tweet referenced another man caught up in the Kardashian web, Kendrick Lamar, and one of his albums.

Kim and Kanye recently had their second baby together, Saint. Despite the birth of Saint West, and adorable toddler North West to keep things in perspective, the marriage has been troubled. The super-couple recently became less super and less couple, and rumors of divorce started swirling after the West’s very public show of unhappiness with each other. We can hope that for the sake of North and Saint, these two manage to figure things out.

However, it looks like Kanye is committing to the divorce, dropping the sort of emotionally charged lines about Kim and O.J.that could break most friendships right down the middle, and this is a lot more than a friendship. Kanye has firmly entrenched himself into the Kardashian family, and this break would have huge consequences for the KUWTK family.

The new single is the second that Schoolboy Q has released in as many months. Two months ago, Schoolboy released his instant hit “Groovy Tony,” another single that will feature on his upcoming album. The hope for Schoolboy is that this new album with Kanye West will be as successful as his 2014 chart-topping breakout album, Oxymoron.

What do you think? Will Kanye’s dig about Kim as O.J. mean the end of the West marriage?
