Novatel MiFi 2372 Router Gets 3G Friendly With North American Networks

Novatel_MiFi_Router

The Novatel MiFi 2372 router has just been announced and North America customers can rejoice! The product comes equipped with support for 3G networks (UMTS/HSPA) plus support for GPRS/EDGE data connections. The product supports speeds up to 7.2Mbps (downloads) and a 5.76 Mbps (uploads).

The 2372 operates with support for up to 5 WiFi connections at one time, while it also offers a built-in GPS receiver and memory expansion via the devices included MicroSDHC card slot, an option that can support up to 16GB.

The product should suit non-3G device users well if there devices offer a WiFi connection, essentially turning their Smartphones and Pocket PC’s into 3G capable units.

There’s still no pricing available, heck we’d even settle for a release date. What we do known is that the European version was released in June which means the NAM version should be following suit in the near future. [via Novatel]
