‘Dancing With The Stars’ Spoilers: Week 9 Semi-Finals Bring The Trio Dances, Which Teams Face Danger In The Double Elimination?

The next episode of Dancing with the Stars Season 22 is the semi-finals, and fans will not want to miss this one. Five couples remain heading into Week 9, but by the end of the night, only three will remain. What DWTS spoilers are available for the May 16 show?

As ABC confirms, each of the remaining five couples will have two dances prepared, and two pairs will be eliminated by the time the night is over. Dancing with the Stars spoilers detail that each couple will perform a genre they have not yet done, and the trio dances are coming up in Week 9 as well. For the first performances, Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd will do the Argentine tango to the X Ambassadors song “Unsteady.” Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy will dance the quickstep to Leona Lewis’ song “Fire Under My Feet.”

Dancing with the Stars viewers will watch Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold dance the Charleston to Avicii’s “Shame on Me” while Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess will do a contemporary routine to the Script song “Hall of Fame.” As for Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas, they will also do the Argentine tango, and they will use Marian Hill’s “One Time.”

The trio dances are always entertaining to watch and Dancing with the Stars spoilers tease that there are some intriguing combinations on the way. Wanya and Lindsay will utilize Witney Carson for their paso doble to the song “Explosive” by David Garrett, Franck Heijden, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Nyle and Peta will use troupe member Jenna Johnson for their jive to the Hermes House Band song “Hit the Road Jack.”

DWTS teasers detail that Ginger and Val will pull in fellow pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev for their paso doble to David Guetta’s “Shot Me Down.” In addition, Dancing with the Stars viewers will see Antonio and Sharna use Hayley Erbert, who has also danced in the troupe, for an Argentine tango to the Gotan Project song “Mi Confesion.”

Last but not least, Paige and Mark will use troupe member Alan Bersten for their samba to the Club Des Belugas song “Hip Hip Chin Chin.” Dancing with the Stars viewers will be anxious to see this one, as Paige and Alan reportedly started dating after working together when Mark was injured earlier this season. ET Online shared that the attraction had been building all season, and while the relationship is still young, Alan and Paige are quite smitten with one another. Will those sparks be visible during this trio dance Monday night?

Oftentimes other pros are utilized a bit more for these trio dances, which is always a fun scenario for Dancing with the Stars fans. However, there are some great combinations here, and everybody will be anxious to see how things go. Which two pairs are likely to be eliminated? This could be a very tough one, as the scores are close given the impact of the scores from the team dances last Monday.

Folks have had their favorites, but it is very likely that one or two consistently strong performers will be headed home at the end of Monday’s Dancing with the Stars show. There are no easy picks this spring, and there has been a lot of buzz among the DWTS fans regarding questionable scoring and possible producer manipulation to favor certain pairs over others. This kind of talk comes around every season, but this spring some think it’s been a bit more prevalent than in past seasons.

So, which two teams do seem most likely to be eliminated next? PureDWTS does not have the number crunching done yet, which is usually a very helpful tool in determining what is likely to happen. However, they do note that with the way the scores and critiques went in Week 8, there could be shakeups on the way. Dancing with the Stars viewers have been expecting to see Nyle and Peta in the finale, and perhaps win the season, and they likely will be safe.

DWTS viewers have fallen in love with Wanya and Lindsey, and they have been consistent performers all season long. Many Dancing with the Stars viewers are anxious to see them in the finale, but they could be at risk. The same can be said for Paige and Mark, as some of their fans are very worried. Antonio and Sharna have had their challenges, but they come off of a strong performance last week, and some suspect that they have been edited quite favorably in an effort to ensure they stick around. Ginger and Val are also coming off of a great dance and may well be safe.

Will it be Paige, Nyle, and Wanya making it to the finale as many DWTS fans are hoping, or will it be Nyle, Ginger, and Antonio as some are starting to suspect? There are several other combinations that could end up surviving the next elimination and get to the finale, and everybody will be anxious to see who manages to stick around. Stay tuned for updates and don’t miss the semi-finals coming up during Week 9 of Dancing with the Stars Season 22 on Monday, May 16. Who do you think will be taking home the mirror-ball trophy this spring?
