Report: Angelina Jolie Will Only Give An Interview To Ann Curry On NBC’s ‘Today’

According to reports released today, if NBC wants Angelina Jolie to appear on Today, they will have to ask the current hosts to take a hike and bring back ex-host Ann Curry. Jolie says that she is not interested in NBC otherwise.

Radar reported that Jolie and Curry had a conversation that was initiated by Jolie after NBC removed Curry from her post on Today. Jolie reportedly “made it clear” to Curry that both her and fiance Brad Pitt would not get involved with NBC at all unless it was Curry they spoke to.

A source told Radar:

“Angelina has tremendous respect for Ann because of the work she has done on bringing awareness to Darfur.”

The insider also told the site that both Jolie and Pitt developed a deep friendship with Curry and that their comfort level was the highest with her. Curry told Jolie and Pitt that their support meant the world to her.

The source also said that the couple was making sure that “with rumors of an upcoming wedding for the couple, NBC will lose any interviews with the actors in the future if Ann isn’t allowed to do it.”

Curry has interviewed Jolie many times in the past. She was with Angelina when the story first broke about her relationship with Pitt and then after the death of her mother. Curry has also followed Jolie to Africa to show her work with disadvantaged children.

Curry was released form Today by NBC a few months ago. The network gave no reason why they were parting ways with Curry. NBC is still paying Curry her $10 million dollar per year salary until the end of her contract.
