Ryan Gosling Opens Up About Life With Two Daughters Esme And Amada

Ryan Gosling and partner Eva Mendes welcomed their second daughter, Amada Lee Gosling, two weeks ago, but news outlets just picked up on the news a few days ago. Considering how stealthy this couple is, it’s surprising that Gosling is now opening up about being a father to two girls.

During an appearance on Good Morning America to promote his new film The Nice Guys, Gosling was asked about his 2-week-old daughter, Amada Lee, and big sister Esmeralda Amada Gosling. Speaking about the “boy to girl ratio,” Gosling was up to answering how it feels to be the lone wolf in a house full of women.

His description is already making hearts melt.

“It’s heaven. It’s like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels.”

Then, he mentioned his Nice Guys co-star Russell Crowe.

“It’s a ray of sunshine in a dark time, because with Russell, really, it’s sad. It’s sad that we’ve turned out this way.”

Proving to be in a joking mood, Gosling spoke about “the illusion” of chemistry between he and co-star Russell Crowe.

“It’s a filter that they added in [post-production] later on. The same people that designed Gollum for Lord of the Rings went in and gave us chemistry. It’s good. It works, right?” Ryan told Amy. “It feels real.”

As for little Amada Gosling, as stated, she was born two weeks ago. TMZ found her birth certificate and released the following information.

“According to the birth certificate, Amada Lee Gosling was born April 29th at 8:03 AM. The baby was born at Providence St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. The mother on the birth certificate is listed as Eva De La Caridad Mendez. The dad is Ryan Thomas Gosling.”

Ryan and Eva never tipped off how far along Mendes was, just like they did for her first pregnancy, and because of this, most members of the media thought that she was five months pregnant, as opposed to eight, when she was last photographed.

It sounds like both parents really know how to avoid the paparazzi. For instance, their first child is 20-months-old yet we haven’t seen many pictures of her out and about in Los Angeles. The clearest photo we’ve seen of Esmeralda Gosling is a photo from November during a trick or treat session. That said, she was dressed up as a skeleton, complete with face makeup while dad Ryan and mom Eva also covered their faces. By doing so, this keeps the child safe but also lowers the value of price in the particular photo.

Eva Mendes opened up about being a mom back in December of 2014. She sat down with the magazine Violet Grey and was candid for the first time. She did address the issue about the paparazzi and how they didn’t hound her during her pregnancy because they announced very late in the game that she was expecting.

“I was just taking the time to relax and enjoy my pregnancy. I was constantly with family,. I have eight nieces and nephews, so my brothers and sisters know a thing or two about what to expect when you’re expecting. I have a very tight-knit family and the pregnancy brought us even closer together.”

Back then, she admitted she wanted to do everything herself and didn’t want to hire a nanny.

“Esmeralda has two amazing grandmothers and incredible aunties who come over and really help me. But as far as a nanny or a night nurse, for me that part of being a mother at this early stage is the struggle of not being able to sleep and not knowing what I’m doing and really going through it with her and battling out those nights.”
