Captain America Chris Evans Dating Jenny Slate, Did She Leave Her Husband For The ‘Civil War’ Star?

Jenny Slate has moved on after her divorce with Dean Fleischer-Camp and is currently dating Captain America: Civil War star Chris Evans. While their young romance continues to blossom, the timing of their relationship has led to speculation surrounding Slate’s split with her husband. Did she leave Fleischer-Camp for Evans?

An inside source told Us Magazine that Evans and Slate went on a dinner date in Hollywood a few months ago. The two were joined by Scott Evans and ate at the Magnolia. The outing corresponds with Evans and Slate’s work together on the drama, Gifted.

While the two are getting ready for the release of Gifted, they also took some time to appear together on a podcast in April. When speaking to Anna Faris, Slate discussed her first encounter with Evans and how the two clicked right off the bat.

“I didn’t know what to expect when I met Chris. I was a little scared because I kind of felt like, well, I don’t know him. He’s a giant man with huge muscles and he’s Captain America. How could we ever connect?” Slate shared. “[But the] first night that we hung out, I was like, Wow, I could hang out with Chris for, like, 90 hours.”

Evans expressed similar sentiments, adding that he and Slate are pretty much the same person. “Oddly enough, I’ve only known Jenny for a few months, which insane to say because we’re like the same animal,” he stated.

As far as her ex-husband is concerned, Us Magazine is reporting that Slate and Fleischer-Camp broke up amicably. Despite reports that Slate left Fleischer-Camp to get with Evans, an insider told the outlet that “it wasn’t a bad breakup.” While it has not been confirmed, it does not appear as though Evans had a hand in the divorce.

Jenny Slate and Fleischer-Camp were married for close to four years before announcing their divorce. The two started their relationship after working together on Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. Unfortunately, it appears as though the two drifted apart in the intervening years before finally deciding to call it quits this year.

While Chris Evans appears happy with Slate, he has been linked to a number of different women in recent months. In fact, there were rumors that Evans had reunited with Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly after the two were spotted out in public back in September. Of course, Evans is also believed to have dated Lily Collins and Sandra Bullock. Furthermore, Evans was in a relationship with the future Mrs. Timberlake Jessica Biel in 2003.

That being said, Evans’ most famous reported tryst was with Jennifer Lawrence. Although reports surfaced that Lawrence and Evans had started dating, Perez Hilton is reporting that such rumors are entirely false.

In fact, in a recent interview promoting her upcoming film, X-Men: Apocalypse, Lawrence revealed that she has never even met Evans.

“There were like four headlines one time [saying] that I dated Chris Evans, and I don’t even think I have ever met him,” Lawrence stated, possibly confusing Evans with her former co-star, Chris Pine. “I was asking my publicist, I was like, ‘Have I met him?”

Although Evans and Slate have not officially confirmed their relationship, Slate’s divorce and comments towards Evans indicate that things are starting to heat up between the two stars. While fans wait for more information, Evans’ most recent film, Captain America: Civil War is currently out in theaters.

Evans’ film with Slate, meanwhile, does not have a release date scheduled. However, fans can expect Gifted to come out at some point this year.
