WWE News: WWE Chairman Vince McMahon Confirmed The Return Time For Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, And Bray Wyatt

The year of 2015 can be defined potentially by the injuries that happened within it, especially later in the year with the likes of Sting, Cesaro, Randy Orton, and Seth Rollins all going down to some sort of injury. Then 2016 started off hot with the retirement of Daniel Bryan, who was also hurt in 2015, and the injury to John Cena. Really, it has been a rough time in WWE. Some people have returned to action already like Sami Zayn, who missed most of 2015 with a shoulder injury, and Cesaro.

John Cena is set to make his return to action on Memorial Day later this month, which will be a huge return for WWE. The company needs John Cena back now more than ever, mainly due to the fact that he can be utilized anywhere on the roster and can work with literally anyone at this point. If 2015 taught us anything, it was that Cena’s wrestling ability is far better than anyone believed. That said, throwing him into the mid-card area or main event area would work, as there is more than enough for him to do.

Others who fans want to see return are Rollins and Orton, who are useful anywhere as well, but no one could pin down an exact return time for either man. Now, according to Vince McMahon himself during the first quarter conference call, Seth Rollins and Randy Orton will make their returns to WWE in the next month or so. He claimed Bray Wyatt would also be back around this time as well. That means we should prepare for the return of all three men by June at least.

It is being rumored that Seth Rollins could be back in WWE by the Money in the Bank PPV. This would work out well for Rollins, who is rumored to have a storyline centered around the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Meanwhile, there are no real plans being rumored for Orton. However, like Cena, The Viper can be thrown into any role and will succeed in it.

Bringing back all of the big names who have been hurt will surely be a big thing for WWE. The hope is that we won’t see any more injuries the rest of this year, but fingers will need to be crossed on that one. As for storylines, there are a great deal that can go down this summer. Most of the major names ended up missing WrestleMania 32 a little while back. The speculation is that all of them will be back with the company by WWE SummerSlam.

In fact, it is a running joke that WWE will basically have a WrestleMania-centered SummerSlam card. Various matches are rumored for the event, such as Triple H vs. Seth Rollins, of which has been a match fans have wanted since last year.

Another match rumored is John Cena vs. Roman Reigns, which is possibly the biggest of any. The rumor is that WWE wants John Cena to win his 16th World Heavyweight Title off of Reigns in the main event of the show. This would tie him with the legendary Ric Flair for the most major World Titles of all time — at least those recognized by WWE.

Cena has been out of the World Title hunt for a while, as the company has had him help younger talent for a while. They can still do this in the main event area as well, but that does not mean we’re going to see Cena hog the spotlight there for a long time again. It is expected that if he wins the WWE World Heavyweight Title again, once he loses it, he’ll be out of the main event storylines for a while once again.
