Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Went Through ‘A Lot’ Before Finding Love With One Another, Claims ‘The Voice’ Producer

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are reportedly headed for wedded bliss, and when it comes to the couple’s romance, The Voice producer Mark Burnett couldn’t be happier.

After watching as Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton both endured painful divorces in 2015, Burnett spoke out.

“It’s great for us. We love them,” Burnett revealed to Entertainment Tonight of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton on May 10. “I consider both Blake and [Gwen Stefani] separately to be very close friends, and both of them went through a lot.”

Gwen Stefani and her former husband, Gavin Rossdale, announced their split in August 2015, but according to an Us Weekly report in November of that year, their marriage began to fall apart in February, when Gwen Stefani reportedly learned Rosedale had been involved in a three-year affair with their former nanny, Mindy Mann.

According to the magazine’s report, another member of Gwen Stefani’s staff informed her of Rossdale’s alleged relationship with Mann, but when she confronted Rossdale with shocking messages sent between him and Mann on the family’s iPad, Rossdale claimed he was only flirting, and for months, he and Gwen Stefani attempted to work things out.

Meanwhile, around the same time, Shelton’s marriage to Miranda Lambert came to an end after just four years.

“I was there in those dark moments because we were working together at the time, it was their private lives but it spills over, and then I said to Blake and [Gwen Stefani], ‘Imagine in your darkest moments if someone showed you a videotape of right now, the love you have, wouldn’t it be great?’ And they’re both smiling. It would be great. They are so amazing, they’re amazing,” Burnett continued.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began dating while filming The Voice Season 9 at the end of last year.

Throughout Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s relationship, the couple has been faced with rumors of a pregnancy and a future wedding, and in the latest report, a source claims Gwen Stefani and Shelton are planning for a July 4, 2016 ceremony. Unfortunately, however, the date has already been taken by another woman: Shelton’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert.

“This is [Gwen Stefani]’s biggest nightmare,” an insider told Life & Style, according to a report by Hollywood Life last week. “She will be livid if Miranda sends out invites for the Fourth. Gwen doesn’t want to share the spotlight with anyone – least of all, her groom’s ex-wife.”

As the magazine’s insider explained, Gwen Stefani was reportedly ready to ask Lambert to change her wedding plans with boyfriend Anderson East, but convincing her to do so would likely not be easy because Lambert allegedly wouldn’t mind getting married on the same day.

“[Miranda] thinks it would be a hoot if they both got married on the same day,” the magazine’s source said. “She is competitive by nature. She guarantees her nuptials will be a hell of a lot more fun.”

In addition to their allegedly matching wedding dates, both Gwen Stefani and Lambert are reportedly planning to tie the knot with country-themed weddings, with Lambert hoping for a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee, and Gwen Stefani planning to get married in Shelton’s home state of Oklahoma.

Whatever the case, Gwen Stefani isn’t afraid to be aggressive when it comes to her reported plans to tie the knot.

“If [Gwen Stefani] feels the gauntlet needs to be thrown down, she will do it,” the insider claimed.
