The 2016 BAFTA Television awards took over London’s Royal Festival Hall on May 8 and some of the biggest stars of TV, film, and music pulled out all the stops when it came to their show-stopping BAFTA TV red carpet looks.
See what Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Idris Elba and more wore on the red carpet for the biggest night in the British television calendar, from the good to the bad and everything in between.
Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick hit the BAFTA Television Awards red carpet in a sequined fish scale gown, with silver, black and red shimmering accents that matched the big British award show’s red carpet. Kendrick tied together her unique look with black heels and a matching clutch.
Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams kept things sweet with her pink summery BAFTA dress and pointed nude pumps. Maisie kept her brunette bob pretty simple for the British award show, but opted for the jewelry of the moment to dress her BAFTA look up – a choker.
In a pretty rare red carpet appearance, Justin Timberlake, who walked the BAFTA red carpet with his Trolls voice co-star Anna Kendrick, looked dapper as ever in a navy suit with a black lapel and matching black bow tie. The two hit the stage to present the first BAFTA TV award of the night, Best Drama Series, which went to Wolf Hall.
Idris Elba, who revealed that he’d lost his voice prior to the event, hit the BAFTA award show looked incredibly suave in a classic black Tom Ford suit, doing nothing to put rumors to rest that he could soon be lined-up as the next James Bond. The actor, who was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the big show, later took to the stage to present an award.
I Saw The Light and The Night Manager actor Tom Hiddleston brought some serious sophistication to the BAFTA red carpet with his suave look, also choosing to channel his inner James Bond in a perfectly tailored suit and black bow-tie.
Classical songstress and former Dancing With The Stars hopeful Katherine Jenkins brought some serious glamour to the BAFTA Television awards, opting for a classic and sophisticated navy blue satin gown before presenting the award for Best Feature to the BBC’s Great British Bake-Off.
Alesha Dixon, who sits alongside Simon Cowell on the judging panel of Britain’s Got Talent, stunned at the 2016 BAFTA Television Awards in a mustard satin gown with a seriously plunging center cut-out and edgy silver waist belt.
British TV presenter Fearne Cotton also chose yellow when she attended the small screen BAFTA Awards, turning heads in this yellow floor-length gown with sheer sleeves and a unique tie around the neck.
