WWE News: WWE Shop Selling All Of Ryback’s Merchandise On Sale

It wasn’t a good week at WWE headquarters, as the annual “Spring Cleaning” took place at World Wrestling Entertainment. Santino Marella, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Hornswoggle, El Torito, Zeb Colter, and Cameron were all let go of their WWE contracts. The biggest surprise was Sandow, as he was one of the most-over WWE superstars in the last two years. Unfortunately, the WWE just didn’t see the success in Sandow like everyone else did.

If more rumors come tomorrow, one of them could be about the former-Intercontinental champion, Ryback. His saga continues with one of the more-controversial rants in WWE history. In its simplest form, Ryback wants the WWE to change so it can favor him and the wrestlers similar to his situation. Cameron, who was just released, wanted equal pay in the WWE. That was one of the bigger complaints the Big Guy had in his rant on Tumblr.

Ryback WWE Backstage

There’s a good chance that could come true, as another hint was presented today on the WWE Shop website. According to SE Scoops, the WWE Shop is now beginning to sell Ryback merchandise on discount.

“WWE has moved all of Ryback‘s merchandise to the ‘sale’ section of WWEShop.com. In light of Ryback‘s Tumblr post last week and his strained relationship with the company, the move is not a great sign regarding his future as a WWE Superstar.”

After reading the Tumblr post, it gives a glimpse into what Ryback’s personality is outside of the ring. He’s an honest, intelligent, and personable human who just wants to be treated equally. The only problem, is that will never happen in the WWE. It’s fairly simple to decode what the reasoning is, but when those who don’t sell enough and draw enough are pushed to the mid-card, then they won’t get paid any higher.

Here’s a brief portion of what Ryback had to say.

“Why not pay the talent equally? The winners have more MERCH as it is or are supposed to anyways so they get that extra perk, but why make the guy who is told to and agrees to lose earn less and sacrifice spots in big pay per view match ups etc. This is one of the major problems with wrestling and WWE today. Most guys take great satisfaction in helping making other talent, the bitching and the moaning we always hear about stems from the fact they know they are ultimately over time going to make less and live in fear of being released.

“Hell look at my pay per view record of 12-26 and you will see that has been the pattern of my career. I have always been confident in my ability and work ethic to being my best every day and ultimately always felt that by doing good it was the right thing to do. Personally seeing my money go down over the years though even though I was working as much as ever and being denied magazine covers and other projects as well as watching my role diminish no matter what I did or how hard I tried takes its toll on a human.”

Looking at what he had can dictate a lot of differing opinions from the WWE Universe. One popular thought that is trending is the fact that Ryback can’t do any better, so he’s trying to complain and made a public outcry, so that he can get what he wants. In all actuality, this won’t do anything to help Ryback’s claim.

He won’t get paid more money because he isn’t in the main event. Ryback simply isn’t improving, so WWE officials have no choice but to keep him where he is. Unless he improved and became what he was supposed to be, then everything Ryback spoke about in his Tumblr rant has no relevance in the WWE. If more WWE releases happen tomorrow, don’t be surprised if the Big Guy is sent packing.
