Emma Watson Forced To Give Up Her Favorite Hobby

Emma Watson loves to take trips to her favorite museums, though this activity has apparently been affected by her popularity. According to Wonderwall, the Harry Potter actress will reportedly stop participating in this hobby due to the large number of adoring fans who always seem to show up while she’s hanging around her favorite exhibits.

Watson’s star has risen to the point where the actress can’t venture out into public without being immediately spotted by legions of Harry Potter devotees. Although she’s accommodating to those who ask her for pictures and autographs, she admitted that encountering these individuals always makes her feel nervous and shy.

“If I went somewhere busy, I wouldn’t last very long. I can’t go to a museum, I’ll last 10 or 15 minutes in a museum,” Watson explained to The New York Times.

Since Watson is kind to her fans, trips to her favorite museums have become less frequent.

“The problem is that when one person asks for a photograph, then someone sees a flash goes off, then everyone else sort of. … It’s sort of like a domino effect,” she explained. “And then very quickly the situation starts to get out of control to a point where I can’t manage it on my own.”

Although the young actress has quite a bit on her plate at the moment, Watson took some time out of her busy schedule to spend some time studying aboard at Oxford University. After completing one more semester at Brown University, she will walk away with a degree. Although she hasn’t spent much time on the big screen as of late, she has been doing a fair amount of modeling work. Presently, Watson is the face of Lancome.

Emma Watson returns to the big screen with writer/director Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She is also slated to appear in Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic Noah.
