Want to party with Rick, Chumlee, Big Hoss, or the Old Man?

The Harrison family who operate the Las Vegas pawn shop seen on the History Channel’s highly rated Pawn Stars have yet another way of cashing in — renting out the shop on Las Vegas Boulevard for private parties and corporate events, including a “meet and greet” with at least one of the cast members.

Rick Harrison, co-owner of the World Famous Gold and Silver Pawn Shop (that’s the actual name of the venue) and the dude who does most of the bargaining shown on the reality television series, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the store can indeed be leased out for catered parties:

“Why not?” he said. “We’re always looking for more revenue streams. Plus, it brings more business downtown.”

The pawn shop’s website reveals that there is a slight catch in the rental arrangement, however:

The 3,500 square feet of retail space at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is available and can be incorporated into your event, but the primary rental space reserved for events is a 1,300 square foot four walled open air outdoor party pad at the back of the building.

As a result of the television exposure, the Harrison’s family business has become a popular tourist attraction for Las Vegas visitors. In addition to the merchandise sold in the store and on eBay, and what they get paid for doing the series on the History Channel, they also have an ancillary business selling souvenirs with a tie-in to the show.
