Vin Diesel Wants Role In The Avengers Franchise

When you think of action films, Vin Diesel immediately comes to mind. He’s been apart of three successful franchises, The Chronicals of Riddick, XxX and The Fast and Furious series. With filming just underway for Fast And Furious Six, Vin Diesel has other franchises in mind that he wants to join, and one of them is reportedly, The Avengers.

Diesel, not so subtly changed his profile picture on his Facebook page to superhero Vision (at least for a few hours), who is rumored to be part of The Avengers 2 cast. Vin, who monitors and regularly updates his own Facebook page has never had a profile picture that wasn’t his image, or something that wasn’t directly affiliated with his image. Thus begs the question — is Vin Diesel the newest addition to the cast of The Avengers 2? Maybe!

With pre-production on The Avengers 2, one can only wonder if Diesel was already approached to play Vision until the man himself confirms the news. The picture which Diesel defaulted has since been changed, but maybe this was his way of confirming that he will be playing Vision? Maybe he’s just planting the seed in his followers minds? Either way, it’s fun to picture Vin Diesel working alongside a huge cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and Robert Downey Jr.

Either way with or without Vin Diesel, The Avengers 2 is slated for a May 2012 release, which had been announced prior to filming. Currently arguably The Avengers‘ biggest star Robert Downey Jr. is taking a little break from filming Iron Man 3 after suffering an injury on set.
