Kim Kardashian: 80-Year-Old Grandma Uses Kardashian’s Makeup Contouring Techniques, Gets Serious Results

Kim Kardashian has always spoken out about the power of contouring and gets some gorgeous results by simply using her makeup techniques that blend a variety of powders and bronzers to arrive at a more defined-looking jawline.

Since Kim has come on the scene with her statement fashions and striking makeup applications, her massive following have gotten on board with attempting her tricks to obtain such a defined look. However, one less likely individual to utilize Kim K’s contouring strategies is Grandma Livia, an 80-year-old grandmother who was transformed by her granddaughter, while she used the same techniques that Kardashian uses.

The results that came from Livia’s granddaughter, Tea, making over her granny with the Kardashian tricks as inspiration are jaw-dropping. The Mirror relays the details about the transformation Tea had on Grandma Livia.

“80-years-young ‘Glam-ma’, Grandma Livia, has been setting Instagram ablaze with her fierce contoured look. Kim K has spoken of “the power of contouring… [it] makes your face look really little and chiselled.” Livia’s make up artist granddaughter, Tea Flego, tried out her skills on her beloved relative, and resulting pictures and video have got the potential to break the internet – just like Kim’s nudes.”

Livia has just turned 80 and resides in a nursing home, which means that the attention she has been receiving is nothing short of exciting for her. Her granddaughter Tea shares about her glam grandma’s enjoyment over the reactions.

“Her granddaughter Tea says, ‘She really enjoys her popularity,’ and adds that Glam-ma is happy to be photographed, and so advertise Tea’s incredible work.”

As the Mirror reminds, contouring is an art that uses light and dark shades of various makeup (bronzer and highlighters) to create a shadow on the face which emphasizes the cheekbones and other facial features.

Kim Kardashian has demonstrated a number of applications and has pointed out that in the initial stages, the contouring application looks a bit frightening and weird. However, the end results are incredible. Kim’s own makeup artist is always happy to use the reality star as his palette for sharing his craft with the world.

Most recently Kim was the subject used by her artist to share how to apply a glam look in only five minutes. The star’s go-to artist, Mario Dedivanovic, said the way to shave off seconds is to get more out of the products you’re already using.

Us Weekly relays Mario’s words about what steps he takes with Kim when she needs to be ready in a hurry.

“Sometimes you only have a few minutes…and there are a few shortcuts you can do to get ready and still look put-together and polished. You’re just going to take that same product that you contoured your skin with and you just use it as an eyeshadow.”

Kardashian’s beautifier then relays the products to use and the benefit to using this specific technique to glamify.

“When you don’t have that much time, and you have to skip a lot of steps, this is the perfect way to do that. [It’s great] if you don’t want to lug around shadows, or lots of [other] products, and you want to do a monochromatic look.”

Mario’s secret weapon for the application on Kim K is a blush brush and a smaller contouring brush, as well as an eye shadow blender to apply Rodial’s Instaglam Compact Deluxe Contouring Powder. The powder is applied to her cheeks, temples, and jawlines.
