Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Eager For Wedding & Baby Amid Bonding With Sons: Will He Propose On Mother’s Day?
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton just can’t seem to stay apart since going from playful platonic pals on The Voice to cooing lovebirds. They recently celebrated the arrival of the merry month of May by piling on the PDA during a date in Malibu, reported Us Weekly.
“They were very affectionate and sweet…legit happy,” an observer revealed to Us. “There was so much laughing.”
Blake and Gwen alternated cuddling together with taking selfies. The 46-year-old mom to three little boys amused eavesdroppers with a comment revealing how she stays so slim.
“Oysters are awesome because they have no calories,” Stefani informed Shelton.
The 39-year-old country crooner is ready to take their love to the next level, a source told Us.
“Blake could propose to Gwen very soon. Gwen is everything he wants.”
In addition, Stefani is already dreaming of the perfect wedding, according to Hollywood Life.
Gwen wants to have a country-style wedding this year, which will sport an estimated price tag of $2 million. As to whether she and Shelton will expand their family by giving her sons Zuma, Kingston, and Apollo a new baby, the couple agree that they want to be married first. After that, they reportedly plan to try to have a baby.
Shelton has already bonded with Stefani’s sons, an insider told Us Weekly.
Ranging in age from Kingston, 9, to Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, the little boys (whose father is Gwen’s former husband Gavin Rossdale) have given Blake a sense of family.
“With Gwen, Blake has the family life he’d hoped to have with Miranda,” revealed the source. “Her kids love him as much as she does.”
But although Shelton appreciates Stefani’s sons, he longs for his own children, added the insider. And Gwen is on board with the baby plan.
“Blake wants kids of his own. And Gwen is willing to try! Blake hasn’t been this happy in years!”
In addition, the two constantly communicate, with Stefani texting Shelton “a million times a day,” shared another source. “But he doesn’t mind at all.”
Even though he’s not their official father, Blake already has taken on some of the responsibilities of a dad to Gwen’s sons, noted Yahoo Insider.
Shelton, Stefani, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo enjoyed a family game of baseball, with the fun documented on Snapchat.
But as to when and if they’ll actually tie the knot, Hollywood Life cites a source who claims that Stefani and Shelton just might be staging their wedding ceremony on the same date as his ex, Miranda Lambert, and her new boyfriend, Anderson East.
Both Stefani and Lambert want to have their wedding held on July 4. And the idea that they might have to share the ceremony date is making Gwen upset, according to the source.
“This is Gwen’s biggest nightmare. She will be livid if Miranda sends out invites for the Fourth. Gwen doesn’t want to share the spotlight with anyone – least of all, her groom’s ex-wife.”
Working out an alternative means that either Stefani or Lambert has to give in. Although Gwen supposedly is considering trying to persuade Miranda to choose a different wedding day date, the chances that Lambert will agree aren’t good.
“[Miranda] thinks it would be a hoot if they both got married on the same day,” added the insider. “She is competitive by nature. She guarantees her nuptials will be a hell of a lot more fun.”
Moreover, they even want similar styles of weddings. Like Stefani, Lambert wants a country-style celebration, although she’s planning her wedding for Texas or Nashville while Gwen prefers Oklahoma, which is Blake’s home state.
