Why Miley Cyrus And Liam Hemsworth Communicate Their Relationship By ‘Smoke Signals’

Miley Cyrus just made it official on Instagram that she is back in a relationship with Liam Hemsworth, according to Cosmopolitan. Cyrus and Hemsworth got engaged in June 2012, but they broke up in September 2013, reportedly after Miley did a steamy performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Music Video Awards in August 2013.

Come October 2015, Liam Hemsworth admitted that he is still very much in love with Miley Cyrus, and Miley returned the favor by saying the same thing about Hemsworth. Since then, they have remained an on-and-off couple until recently, when Miley started to wear the original engagement ring again. In a bizarre turn of events, a pet dog confirms that the two are definitely back as a couple.

For evidence, Dora the Explorer, the dog that Miley helped Liam with adopting, has been seen in a selfie with Hemsworth, and subsequently with Cyrus. Communication of the couple’s position has been noticeably cryptic or in terms of symbols. This has been largely due to the fact that both camps are leery of excessive media scrutiny regarding their relationship.

“I just find it’s easier to not talk about my personal life because usually I say the wrong thing, so it ends up just complicating things more,” Liam Hemsworth tells ET exclusively.

“So, I feel like it’s better not to talk about it.”

The bottom line, according to Hemsworth, is that “Everyone’s happy.”

And Hemsworth added, “I’m happy.”

So rather than push Liam Hemsworth to elaborate, the media have chosen to take his word for it and assume that at some point in the future, a wedding is going to take place. After all, the engagement ring has been seen in plain sight in many instances. It is the original ring that Hemsworth gave Cyrus on the occasion of their first engagement.

Miley Cyrus refers to it as “the heavy rock,” yet she loves to wear it. It’s a 3.5-karat engagement ring designed by Neil Lane, and it reportedly cost $250,000.

In an interview with Extra that Just Jared reported on, Miley Cyrus’ fiance has been able to provide more details regarding the relationship and where it is going by stating that he is not ready to have kids just yet.

“I’m sure one day I’ll go down that road and it will feel right…For now, I feel very young and feel like I have a lot of things to do… I will leave that to later on in life.”

Myley Cyrus is 23 years old, while Liam Hemsworth is 26. Another reason for the cancellation of the couple’s first engagement was that they were much younger when the two made the commitment. Also, the media’s constant attention is considered to be partly responsible for the fallout of the Cyrus-Hemsworth tandem. Hopefully, this time around, the paparazzi will be more considerate of their privacy.

Definitely, past experience has made the two extremely tight-lipped lately regarding what is going on between them. With their situation now properly communicated, the silent truce between the couple and the media seems to be holding. It must have gotten the necessary dress rehearsal from the couple’s previous breakup and subsequent reunion.

To illustrate, there has been no incident of any tussle on the part of Liam Hemsworth or Miley Cyrus and the media lately. Of course, even though the two are public figures, both Miley and Liam deserve to have a shot at privacy. It is a delicate balancing act that will require TLC from both parties. Yet at the same time, the best test of love is to allow it to find a way to thrive. Translation: If Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus are really meant for each other, surely love will find a way, no matter what; although it doesn’t mean that they don’t have to work on it.
