Rihanna & Drake Dated ‘Secretly’ For Months Amid Leonardo DiCaprio Hookup Rumors: Chris Brown Hurt & Stunned?
Rihanna and Drake just proved that even when you’re a celebrity, it’s possible to stay secretive about a hot romance. Now, following months of secret dating, the couple can’t hide their hookup any longer, with a source leaking the details of their romance to People.
Drake and Rihanna have maintained a friendship and even collaborated. But while their professional success was well-publicized, the couple dated “secretly for months,” revealed the source.
Their on-stage chemistry was evident during Rihanna’s Anti World Tour in Los Angeles. During a performance of “Work,” she even danced with Drake suggestively. And what looked hot on-stage got even hotter off-stage.
The lovebirds celebrated at hot spot The Nice Guy.
“[Drake and Rihanna were] dancing all night together,” an eyewitness told People. “They were being very affectionate.”
During a recent visit to Ellen DeGeneres’s talk show, however, Rihanna played it cool, telling Ellen that she is single. In reality, according to the insider, both she and Drake were deliberately keeping their romance a secret.
Rumors swirled that the duo were dating several years ago. And that’s one reason why they have kept their affair under cover this time, clarified the source.
“[Drake and Rihanna] have been keeping it a secret because this time around, they want to do it right and keep their relationship private.”
As for the public display of affection at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, another observer told Us Weekly that the two were canoodling during her concert after-party.
“Drake and Rihanna were together the whole time inside being loving,” shared the onlooker. “They were affectionate. They had their arms around each other.”
But sources provided contradictory descriptions of their relationship status to Us.
“Rihanna and Drake are definitely hooking up,” insisted one of the sources.
But another described their relationship status as only a platonic friendship. There’s a hint of what’s really happening behind the scenes in their duet, “Too Good,” which follows two individuals who attempt to clarify their love. The duet is featured on Drake’s Views album.
In an interview, Rihanna has emphasized that she’s too busy to have a serious relationship.
“I’m single right now and it’s not like I’m like, ‘Oh, pro-single, yes, I hate men!’ I just think I have so much on my plate that I can’t even find the time to entertain a steady relationship or anything serious. Or even a text.”
Despite that disclaimer, Rihanna has been rumored to be involved with Leonardo DiCaprio, soccer star Karim Benzema, and rapper Travis Scott.
Most recently, amid the uncertainty about the nature of the relationship between Drake and Rihanna, rumors have swirled again that she’s dating DiCaprio. Rihanna and Leo were seen getting up close and personal at Coachella and Intrigue Nightclub’s grand opening at Wynn Las Vegas, according to ET.
Rihanna was observed dishing with DiCaprio. An observer told ET that Rihanna and Leonardo were “whispering into each other’s ears.”
The two left at the same time, both going to the Wynn Tower Suites.
With all those men linked to Rihanna, Chris Brown is left feeling hurt and stunned, according to Hollywood Life’s source.
“Chris thought Rihanna was done playing around with bad boys who don’t want to commit. He was stunned a little bit to hear she’s her back in Leo’s arms and whispering in his ear. That hurt him,” shared the insider.
Although Brown has maintained a relationship as a “bad boy,” he has sought to change. And because he considers DiCaprio to be a bad boy himself, Chris is worried about Rihanna while still in love with her.
“He loves Rihanna and no disrespect to Leo, but he doesn’t want Ri to get caught in his glory just because he recently won an Oscar. Leo’s still a player and he hopes she knows that,” added the source.
