Lil Wayne Supports Christina Milian In A Most Unusual Way

Lil Wayne has come a long way since getting signed onto the Cash Money music label in his pre-teen years. Presently among the best rappers in the hip-hop industry, he has recently experienced a few setbacks in his career, with one of those being his fallout with Bryan Williams, aka Birdman, co-founder of Cash Money records.

The feud is said to have caused the delayed release of Lil Wayne’s album, Tha Carter V, according to tweets by Tunechi, and lawsuits from both sides. But according to recent reports, both are working to mend fences. In January, Urban Islandz reported the following on their relationship, according to sources who spoke to the site.

“They have been back on speaking terms for a few weeks now but a lot of work still need to be done for their relationship to get back to the old days… Drizzy and Mack Maine advocate for both of them to have a sit down and hash things out for the greater good of the label. They are both eager to work things out outside of the court and things look like it will move along amicable.”

However, Lil Wayne’s $51 million suit against Cash Money records was reported to be still on, as Weezy was looking to get a formal agreement between them. Fast forward to current events and a few days ago, Birdman stated that he was not holding Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V album back. This was while on an interview with Hot 97. The following was his statement.

“Me not putting out Tha Carter V, why wouldn’t I? I’ve got a lot of money invested into Young Money and Wayne. So for me, I want to get some of mine’s back, you understand me?… I think the world deserve Tha Carter V. Whatever he wanna do, I’m good with it. I ain’t gonna stop him, I’m gonna embrace it. Wayne is a boss. He his own boss…. I would never stop him from doing nothin’. He’s still puttin’ out records—I could stop that s**t if I wanted to, but I ain’t gonna stop him from hustlin’. We in this for the money, man. We rap for the money.”

This is as reported by Pitch Fork.

Speaking about relationships, Lil Wayne’s last notable relationship was with Christina Milian. Having started dating in 2014, the couple split last year. According to Us Weekly Magazine, the main cause was their busy schedules.

“They’ve broken up a few times before. She’s got so much going on with Grandfathered, her E! and Hulu shows, and working on her album with Wayne. It doesn’t help that Wayne is all over the place too. They both have insane lives and schedules.”

However, Christina Milian later on revealed while on her reality show that suspected cheating was the cause of their break-up. Apparently, a woman with a “fake butt” and “stripper tattoo” posted a photo of herself in Weezy’s house, leading her to believe that he was having an affair. She also stated that she had never loved anyone so much. The following was her statement, as reported by BET.

“I’ve never loved anyone the way that I love Wayne, not even my ex-husband. I’ve never had anyone understand me the way that he has.”

That said, Wayne has expressed his ongoing support for Christina Milian by sharing her new acoustic version of “Liar” on social media. This is awkward since the song seems to talk about her relationship with Wayne and his infidelity, highlighted in the following lines.

“Lipstick stains all on your white tee/ Tryina wash it off like a b***h wouldn’t see/ I’m about to catch a murder in the third degree/ I don’t know why you do this s**t to me.”
