‘Scandal’ Spoilers: Olivia And Abby Scheme Against Hollis As Jake Sets Edison Straight Regarding His Options In ‘Trump Card’

Scandal spoilers tease that Thursday night’s episode is a wild one that viewers will not want to miss. The battle for the White House is getting intense and wild deals are about to be made. What can fans expect from the May 5 show?

Last week’s show brought Abby and Olivia back together, in a sense, as they opened up to one another and realized that they needed to focus on taking down Hollis rather than one another, at least for the moment. Scandal spoilers tease, however, that this truce may become quite complicated.

According to TV Guide, this Season 5, Episode 20 show is titled “Trump Card,” and viewers will see Abby and Olivia working together to take down Hollis so that both Mellie and Susan can pull ahead. Scandal spoiler previews, however, show some juicy moments that could significantly shake up the plans for this election. Abby and Rowan will be seen talking and Olivia seems to make a deal with Hollis.

Rowan gives Abby some information that should be enough to take down Mellie, and fans know that he surely has plenty of juicy intel that he can provide. Scandal spoiler previews show Abby looking pretty stunned, and she may find herself in a difficult position now. Does she play dirty and use Rowan’s information to destroy Mellie’s chances at winning the election, or does she stick with Olivia to deal with Hollis first? Abby should know that any deal with Rowan comes with dangerous strings attached, but she may not be able to resist his bait.

Rowan and Jake have put a lot of work into their plan to get Edison elected, but Edison seems a bit naïve to the mess he has gotten himself into with this plan. Jake is supposed to be Edison’s pick for vice president, but Scandal spoilers share that Edison will think he can just go with his own plan. He tells Jake that he wants to go with someone else, and it doesn’t take long for Jake to make it clear that this decision is not at all Edison’s to make.

The buzz has been that this is one wild episode and it will set the stage for the Season 5 finale airing next week. Actors Scott Foley and Josh Malina, who play Jake and David, teased some juicy Scandal spoilers about that last show via Entertainment Weekly and it sounds as if this season will wrap up with a bang. The guys tease that there are multiple twists and turns on the way that had even the cast stunned as they started prepping for this one. Considering all of the shockers that play out on this show, it is saying a lot when the cast is left stunned by a script.

Viewers will soon know which two candidates score the nominations and Scandal spoilers detail that the stage will be set for Season 6. It seems that picks will be made for the vice presidential spots as well and things may not go quite as expected. Will everybody survive this process or could some lives be lost as the battle intensifies?

While most fans would bet that Rowan and Jake will maintain control over the nomination process on their side, it is too soon to know if Mellie and Olivia can crush their competition on the other side. Tune in to Scandal airing Thursday night on ABC to see what deals are made, and stay tuned for spoilers heading into the Season 5 finale set to air on May 12.
