Channing Tatum Reveals ‘Magic Mike’ Is Coming To Las Vegas

Channing Tatum is bringing Magic Mike to the Sin City, and it is going to be a live show.

In a short video released in partnership with Cosmopolitan.com on May 4, the actor announced that he would bring Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The two-minute clip featured Jenna Dewan’s husband with several shirtless guys posing alongside cute puppies.

“We’re going to start Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock March 2017,” Channing Tatum said in the video. “God knows we have enough gentlemen clubs in the world so let’s start the first gentle-ladies club — or, maybe not so gentle. Depends on what you’re into.”

The actor is also trying to get fans involved in the creative process, saying that they will run the show depending on what the viewers want.

“Leave your comments and let us know what you want and were going to create it for you,” the Magic Mike star said while holding an adorable puppy.

Channing Tatum also took to social media to promote the show.

“We want to change what male entertainment has been for years,” Channing Tatum stated in his first-ever Facebook live video. “Instead of just men going up there and trying to tell you what you should think is sexy. We really want to hear from you.”

A press release also confirmed that Magic Mike is expected to open for preview performances in March 2017. The performances will run from Wednesdays through Sundays at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

‘Magic Mike’ Live Las Vegas will recreate the mythic Club Domina with a sizzling 360-degree dance and acrobatic striptease spectacular, guaranteed to bring on the heat,” according to ComingSoon.net.

Unfortunately, fans of the 36-year-old actor will not see him stripping. The Magic Mike star will be directing the production along with franchise choreographers Alison Faulk and Teresa Espinosa.

“‘Magic Mike‘ has been a special and very personal project for me, and this show is a natural extension of that,” Channing Tatum said in a statement. “So while I won’t be on stage as Mike, ‘Magic Mike Live Las Vegas’ is my vision, and I’m looking forward to spending a lot of time in Las Vegas creating something that will give women what they really want.”

However, he hinted that fans would be entertained by special surprise guests in the upcoming Magic Mike Live. Does this mean the actor is set to make a special appearance?

“If I’m ever in shape enough to actually do the show again, I will absolutely step on stage, just because it’s fun,” Channing Tatum explained before assuring the viewers that “there’ll be a lot of crazy cameos.”

Female fans of Magic Mike are already requesting for the actor and the rest of the original cast to star in the upcoming live show in Las Vegas.

The film starred Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, and Joe Manganiello. It went on to earn $167.2 million at the box office worldwide. The movie’s sequel, Magic Mike XXL, earned $122.5 million

Magic Mike Live Las Vegas will be produced by Free Association in partnership with United Talent Agency, BASE Entertainment, and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. According to ComingSoon.net, it is a re-imagination of the 2012 flick.

There will also be a real-life version of Club Domina to complete the Magic Mike experience in Las Vegas. The re-envisioned nightclub will feature “three elaborately designed bars, an integrated stage, and seating for 450 guests.”

Channing Tatum’s upcoming Magic Mike Live Las Vegas venture is intended for guests 18 and older. Details about the show such as casting, pricing and ticketing information will be announced soon.
