‘Bachelorette’ Star Kaitlyn Bristowe Returns To Reality TV Without Shawn Booth, Plans Move To Canada

Former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe is heading back to reality TV, but she will be flying solo. Fans who are hoping that a televised wedding is in the works will be disappointed to find out that Kaitlyn’s fiancé, Shawn Booth, won’t appear on the show — getting married seems to be last on the couple’s to-do list.

Here’s the latest buzz about Kaitlyn and Shawn along with news about a potential move to Canada this summer.

According to ABC, Kaitlyn will appear on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette starring JoJo Fletcher. Instead of showing up at the Bachelor mansion to search for love, Kaitlyn will appear on the May 23 season premiere, along with Desiree Hartsock Siegfried and Ali Fedotowsky, to give JoJo some advice on picking the right guy.

Kaitlyn had one of the most controversial seasons of The Bachelorette when she slept with Nick Viall during a one-on-one date, so telling JoJo that there is a “difference between red hot chemistry and love” sounds like sage advice.

Not only will Kaitlyn appear on The Bachelorette later this month, she is searching for a place to live in Canada for “two to three months” this summer. She is currently living with Shawn in Nashville, Tennessee, but according to a recent tweet, they are looking to rent a home in Okanagan, located in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

As far as a wedding goes, there’s still no word on when, or if, Kaitlyn and Shawn will tie the knot. On Wednesday, they celebrated their one-year engagement anniversary, and while it appears that their relationship is solid, fans who are holding out for a TV wedding may have to lower their expectations.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Kaitlyn and Shawn both stated that they are more interested in starting a family than planning a wedding. Kaitlyn revealed that they will “eventually get married,” but they don’t feel the need to get married before they start having kids.

“We know we’re going to get married, but we’re really pumped to start a family!,” Kaitlyn told People. “I don’t feel like there is a specific order we have to go in. I think we’re more excited about having kids than actually getting married!”

With just a few weeks to go before the new season of the Bachelorette begins, fans will soon start focusing on the drama surrounding JoJo Fletcher and her 26 guys, something that will take the spotlight off of Kaitlyn and Shawn’s relationship.

Blogger Reality Steve states that he “absolutely” expects that JoJo will get engaged when the final rose ceremony is taped early next week. Spoilers indicate that JoJo is down to her final three guys, with overnight dates wrapping up this week.

When the season finale of the Bachelorette Season 12 airs in July, fans will forget about Kaitlyn and Shawn and start buzzing about a possible TV wedding for JoJo and her final pick.

Tune in to watch the season premiere of The Bachelorette on Tuesday, May 23 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC and find out if the advice JoJo follows through on the advice she gets from former Bachelorette stars Kaitlyn Bristowe, Desiree Hartsock Siegfried, and Ali Fedotowsky.
