‘Clash Of Clans’ Update: Huge Cut In Training, Brewing Times For ‘Clash Of Clans’ Users

Clash of Clans update time has arrived for May 2016. The latest Clash of Clans update is a big one for gameplay, as it revolves around faster attacks. As explained on the Clash of Clans blog, the training times for key characters and the brewing times for spells has been reduced by quite a bit. Calling it a “balancing update,” the creators at Supercell have made gameplay a lot friendlier for users.

Creating the major troops (Golem, Lava Hound, and P.E.K.K.A.) has been cut from 45 minutes down to just 15 minutes. Creating the next level troops (Dragon, Witch, and Wall Breaker) has been cut in half, dropping Dragons from 30 minutes to 15 minutes. For the Wall Breakers, the training time has dropped from two minutes down to one minute.

The training time for Balloons, Wizards, Healers, Valkyries, and Bowlers has also been cut. For instance, Balloons and Wizards at level 5 can now be trained in just five minutes each. The plan by Supercell is to get users attacking more often and with better troops.

As for spells (both regular and dark), they can now be generated in half the time it previously took. This will help users prepare much quicker for wars or to raid for more gold and elixir. That can also be seen as an incentive for the site creators to do this, as it will cause users to burn through that elixir much quicker. That could lead to more purchases on the site store.

Other components of this Clash of Clans update is that the Bowler will start attacking faster when it reaches targets, that the maximum timeout searching for opponents has been raised from 5 to 30 minutes, and that the Hero regeneration time has been cut a bit. These are all updates that will help a lot in the battle phase of the game, especially for users with high trophy counts looking to attack often. The blog summed up everything from this Clash of Clans update in a quick paragraph.

“We’re looking to get players battling with full and well-balanced armies much more often than before. Waiting several hours for heavy armies will be a thing of the past. Army building boosts still provide a 4x speed boost atop this – blazing fast!”

This follows a move by SuperCell to get more users involved in fighting Clan Wars. Within the Clash of Clans game, clans are groups of users who team up to either hang out online or fight other clans in wars. These Clan Wars involve one entire clan taking on another entire clan, with the winner earning extra gold and elixir. Winning many Clan Wars can lead to increased prestige in the game. This latest Clash of Clans update could push more clans toward participating in frequent wars. The Twitter for COC also recently released a FAQ on those Clan Wars.

Most responses from users have been entirely positive, with one stating that “it feels like Christmas” when posting in the game forums. This idea to spur gameplay might work very well, especially with users that may have taken a break from the game. This is a quick way to get involved and build up troops and spells to make frequent attacks. Cutting down on the time it takes to develop an army is the key component of this Clash of Clans update and it could go a long way to spurring additional battles and wars among the top clans in the game.
