Kanye West-Wiz Khalifa Feud: Ye Is Still Apologizing For Tweeting About Amber Rose’s Son

Just when you thought we’d moved on from the Kanye West-Wiz Khalifa Twitter feud of January, someone brings it back up.

This time, it was Yeezy himself, who said in an interview on Steve Harvey’s radio show that he feels worse every day for bringing the son of Wiz and Amber Rose into the beef.

“I really want to stress the amount of respect that I have for parents. There is no concept of anyone beating up on someone else’s child or that type of concept. So, every day I feel more deeply, deeply, deeply apologetic about that concept, because I only want to put out positive, positive, positive concepts.”

Back in January, Ye and Wiz found themselves in a heated Twitter exchange after Kanye mentioned that he was thinking of changing the name of his then-upcoming album to Waves. Khalifa didn’t like the name change, saying that Max B already had claim on the concept.

Kanye took exception to Khalifa’s opinion, and things got out of hand. Wiz tweeted about a strain of marijuana called KK, which Kanye misunderstood to be a slight on his wife, Kim Kardashian. West then went on a multi-tweet rant, and Khalifa’s preschool-aged son, Sebastian, was brought into the mix.

In tweets that have since been deleted, Kanye made assertions that Khalifa wouldn’t have a child if Kanye hadn’t split from Amber Rose.

Kanye West then went on to say, “I own your child!!!!”

It didn’t take long for Sebastian’s mother to come to her son’s defense. The exchange between Kanye and Wiz led to what would become perhaps Amber Rose’s most memorable pop-culture moment. In her response, she spoke about salacious details of West’s preferences in the bedroom, which Kanye has since dismissed as false.

The apology on the Steve Harvey radio show isn’t the first from West. Soon after the incident, Kanye admitted that he got angry because he thought Khalifa was taking a shot at his wife, saying that he was trying to protect his family just as Rose was trying to protect her own family.

“For people who felt a way about the kid comment, I didn’t mean it in a harmful way. just saw my wife’s initials and reacted because that’s my family. People [think] because my wife’s on TV or because she’s been in an SNL skit… that’s open season or something. Like it’s okay ‘it’s in a meme.'”

West also promised that he would “never speak on kids again” and deleted all of the tweets from his account.

And that album name that Kanye wanted to change? It eventually became The Life of Pablo, which West released in February during his Yeezy Season 3 fashion show in New York City.

After the feud, Kanye and Wiz Khalifa both said publicly that the feud had been “squashed” and “chopped up.” At the time, it seemed as if Kanye and Wiz had settled the beef. That must not have been enough for the “Gold Digger” rapper, who seems to be struggling to let the comments on Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose’s son go.

What do you think of Kanye West’s continued apologies to Wiz Khalifa? Do you think he should still feel bad about the incident, or do you think he should let it go? Why?
