Ever since Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders in 2012, she has become more secretive when it comes to her relationships. Maybe she’s scared that the media will find fault in her again if she falls in love with someone else.
After reports came out that the 26-year-old actress has split from French musician SoKo, she has been romantically linked to Miley Cyrus’ ex-girlfriend Stella Maxwell. According to the Mirror, Stewart partied with the 24-year-old model after the recent Met Gala.
X17 caught the rumored lovebirds ditching their gowns for shirt and jeans as they left the after-party in New York City together. It seems that Kristen Stewart is officially dating the former lover of the “Wrecking Ball” hitmaker. She definitely needs someone who can cheer her up after what she has gone through at the Met Gala.
The Twilight actress attended one of the most glamorous events in Hollywood, but she may not have expected to see her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson and Rupert Sander’s ex-wife, Liberty Ross, at the same event. It must have been an awkward moment for her seeing the people she has hurt in the past again after four years since the cheating scandal exploded.
The 29-year-old actor arrived at the bash with his fiancée, FKA Twigs, while the 37-year-old English model was escorted by her new husband, Jimmy Iovine, who is a successful music producer. According to Hollywood Life, Kristen Stewart doesn’t want to bump into Liberty Ross at the Met Gala because she still remembers what happened between them in the past.
“She does not want any controversy, so she hid from Liberty to avoid any conflict,” an insider revealed. “The feeling from Liberty was mutual. Liberty has long since moved on from the drama and is happy now with her new husband.”
Two years after Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders, Liberty Ross finally opened up about her ex-husband’s affair with Robert Pattinson’s former lover. She revealed how she was able to get over the controversy during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK.
“It’s amazing what two years does,” Ross confessed. “Today, I feel happier than I’ve ever felt, and I’m in such a great place. All of us are: my kids are great, Rupert’s amazing, we have all moved on and everyone is doing really well.”
Despite the failed marriage, Liberty doesn’t have any bitterness or hatred. She cleared things out that she isn’t resentful of Rupert’s betrayal and explained that they are more like siblings than a real couple since they’ve known each other since she was just 18.
“People need to learn to forgive,” she said. “I have no problem with anyone involved. I’m completely compassionate, I really am. No life is perfect, we all have our problems and issues and I believe that it’s good to be true to who you are.”
While Liberty Ross has moved on from her ex-husband, Robert Pattinson has also gotten over Kristen Stewart and is now happily engaged to FKA Twigs. During an interview with Esquire UK, the British heartthrob just laughed off when asked about the cheating scandal and claimed that it’s not a big deal.
“It’s just young people… it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s—?” Rob said. “The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can’t predict.”
To prove to everyone that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have moved on, the two greeted each other at the Met Gala. According to Hollywood Life, the former lovers were happy to see each other and gave each other a hug. It seems that everyone’s in a good place now after the cheating scandal.
