Pope Francis Savaged By Twitter Trolls For Praising Jesus

Pope Francis has been savaged by Twitter trolls and targeted with violent sexual imagery for the “crime” of expressing his love for Jesus Christ.

If you can call Pope Francis one thing, it would be a believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ, so it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock if the head of the head of the Catholic Church chooses to take to Twitter and express his love for the son of God.

Yet the Pope’s spontaneous outburst on social media, which saw him declare his love for Jesus, was met with grim disdain by the fiendish trolls who lurk in the shadowy and not so shadowy places of online interaction.

The Mirror reports that Pope Francis wrote, “Jesus Christ, the incarnation of God’s mercy, out of love for us, died on the cross, and out of love he rose again from the dead.”

Not exactly an extreme or out of the blue statement for a man of the cloth to make, but alas, such sentiments would appear to act as a beacon, capable of illuminating the darkest corner of a sleeping troll’s cave.

And when a troll wakes up, it wants to play.

No sooner had Pope Francis posted his seemingly innocent praise of the lord Jesus than troll after troll appeared to awake from their slothful slumber, and drag themselves with sinister intent to the nearest screen, where it was party time for the loathsome little beasts.

Launching a sickening attack on the Pontiff, one cave dweller had nothing else to fill their day than post a emoji of a penis alongside a graphic insult. How rude!

Another demented fiend added, “”f*** me with a the cross and get the devil out of my p****.”

While a less imaginative troll simply snarled, “”Smells like b******t.”

Of course, a more productive line for the burgeoning atheist to have taken in regard the Pope’s views of Jesus, would have been simply to ask, “Got any proof about that big guy?”

Yet trolls like to titillate and pounce like hyenas before scuttling back to the basement and applauding themselves on their awesome audacity. Asking a valid question and engaging in a civilized debate is a bit beyond their – how shall we say? – social, emotional, and cultural development.

It’s been a busy seven days for the Pontiff. The Inquisitr reported that on Sunday Pope Francis put aside his weekly Sunday message and called for the “severe punishment” of pedophiles.

The Pope chose to speak out after further details of the death of six-year-old Fortuna Loffredo were made public.

Fortuna was subject to a series of rapes by a 44-year-old neighbor before being thrown from an eighth-story balcony to prevent her from alerting the authorities.

The Pope made his comments on pedophiles known to tens of thousands of worshippers in St. Peter’s Square.

“This is a tragedy. We should not tolerate the abuse of minors.

“We must protect minors and severely punish abusers.”

Although Pope Francis has also promised “zero tolerance” for anyone found guilty of sexual abuse within the Catholic Church, victim groups have accused the Pope of not doing enough to stop the abuse.

Business Standard News reports that on Monday, Pope Francis announced that petty gossip and criticism are forms of persecution.

“This can take the form of little acts of persecution in the form of idle gossip to the big ones that fill the history of the Church.

“The latter can lead Christians into jail or even to sacrifice their lives.”

As if addressing the Twitter tolls indirectly, the Pope said, “Jesus invites his disciples not to be surprised if they draw persecution.”

Or as the old proverb puts it, “If God lived here on earth, people would throw stones at his windows.”
