E3 2016 Games: ‘Legend Of Zelda’ Playable, ‘Dishonored 2’ First Gameplay To Be Unleashed

As usual, a number of E3 2016 games are expected to show up in the upcoming yearly trade fair for the video game industry. Two of the confirmed games coming to the event are Legend of Zelda and Dishonored 2.

According to a report from Polygon, instead of presenting several playable games like they usually do at E3, Nintendo will only showcase the new The Legend of Zelda during the highly anticipated event next month “in order to provide attendees a complete immersion.” The game, coming for Wii U, will be playable for the first time at E3 2016. A Nintendo NX version of the new Legend of Zelda will also be available in the market. Nintendo also revealed via Twitter that The Legend of Zelda both for Wii U and NX will now have a 2017 release date.

Check out the tweet below:

The game was originally set for a 2015 release but was later pushed to this year. However, the latest statement from Nintendo noted that the new Legend of Zelda will be launched in 2017. Particularly, fans can expect the game to be launched in March next year.

“The latest instalment in this classic series is scheduled to launch simultaneously for both Wii U and NX, and both versions of the game have been in development in tandem, a statement posted on official Nintendo UK website explained. “ Because developers need more time to polish the game, it will launch in 2017, but it will be the focus of Nintendo’s presence at E3,” it added.

The list of games that are going to be part of E3 2016 also includes Dishonored 2. In addition to the official release date announcement for the sequel to the stealth action-adventure video game, publisher Bethesda Softworks also revealed that the first gameplay for Dishonored 2 will debut in June, specifically at E3 2016, during the company’s press briefing, Examiner reported.

Bethesda’s press briefing is scheduled to take place on June 12 and will begin at 7 p.m. PST. Live streaming via Twitch and Youtube will be available.

Dishonored 2 will hit the shelves worldwide on November 11 for PS4, PC and Xbox One. In the game, players will take again the role of a supernatural assassin in a world “where mysticism and industry collide.” Gamers can play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano who is described as the royal protector. The official Bethesda Softworks website further read:

“Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.”

Furthermore, IGN posted a comprehensive list of games coming to E3 2016. Some of the huge titles that the gaming industry can expect at the event are the new Call of Duty, Gears of War 4, Kingdom Hearts 3, Mass Effect Andromeda, and Persona 5. Additionally, among the highly-anticipated E3 2016 games is Titanfall 2, and IGN noted that a worldwide announcement for the game will happen on June 12. Most likely, this will take place at the EA Play Event.

E3 or Electronic Entertainment Expo is “the world’s premier trade show for computer, video and mobile games and related products” where “leading-edge companies, groundbreaking new technologies and never-before-seen products” will be showcased,” according to the official website of the event. E3 2016 is happening on June 14-16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
