A New Hampshire woman searched for what she thought was a wild animal caught underneath her mobile home, but what she found was much more disturbing. An alleged peeping tom and child pornographer had been spying on her and her son from under the floor for nearly two days.

According to Salem, New Hampshire authorities, 47-year-old Christian Hobbs of Orleans, Massachusetts has been charged with prowling, violation of privacy, and manufacturing of child pornography following his Wednesday arrest. Two weeks ago, Hobbs had been hired by the owner of the mobile home to do some work and installed two baby monitors inside the home while he worked — one in a dryer duct and one in the bedroom — reports WWLP.

On Wednesday, the woman was in the bathroom when she heard a noise from underneath her mobile home. She spotted Hobbs spying on her. “Hey, it’s just me. Don’t be scared,” the alleged child pornographer said upon being caught.

According to the Huffington Post, Hobbs spent two days beneath the mobile home sleeping, masturbating, and videotaping the woman and her toddler son.

“I didn’t see him personally, but I thought there was an animal in my house, and I went to go survey the area because I saw something not right. I went to go check out to see what it was and that was when he revealed himself,” the victim said.

She called the cops, and they caught Hobbs wandering near Route 28. “I did it, it was me under the trailer,” he said upon being questioned.

The owner actually knew Hobbs from before. Apparently, she had bought the trailer from him roughly 5 years ago. He would return to do handiwork every once in a while for the new owner. He was apparently quite well-supplied as well, having PowerBars, drinks, tissues, and other supplies stocked beneath the trailer.

Authorities say that the peeping tom had recorded roughly 16 one-minute cellphone videos, some including nude footage of the woman’s toddler son. He was arraigned Thursday and is currently being held on a $25,000 cash bail bond.
