WWE Rumors: Three Superstars Mysteriously Absent From ‘Raw’ Last Night After Being Advertised For Big Match

Last night on Monday Night RAW, there was a huge 20-man battle royal that determined a new number one contender for the United States Title currently held by Kalisto. It was advertised early in the night by WWE, and once it finally took place, Rusev ended up winning it. The strange thing is that the match ended up missing a few big names that had been advertised to appear, and fans were wondering where Heath Slater, Ryback, and Jack Swagger were.

While it appears as if the plan all along was for Rusev to win and go on to face Kalisto, the three missing superstars were still supposed to be in the match.

That graphic was shown by WWE on Monday Night RAW, and it showed all 20 competitors in the battle royal. Jack Swagger, Heath Slater, and Ryback were all missing from the match and there was no real mention on the show as to why they weren’t there.

WrestleZone reported that Slater was in St. Louis last night and actually competed in a match earlier in the night against Apollo Crews. That match was taped for Superstars, and then he just didn’t show up later in the night and no-one has any idea as to why.

Slater has been quiet on social media since last night.

As for Ryback, there is a bit more to his absence, and it isn’t as questionable. A couple of weeks ago, it was revealed that he was not happy with his place in the company, being in the Kickoff Match of WrestleMania 32, and may have to look at working elsewhere.

Well, it’s obvious that his displeasure continued as he was also in the Kickoff Match for Payback on Sunday. Many could tell how unhappy he was by the workout belt he wore to the ring that read “the Pre-Show Stopper.”

Now, Ryback has been removed from WWE television indefinitely, as reported by What Culture, and it has to do with a contract dispute. It’s been reported that he met with Vince McMahon backstage to discuss a new deal, and McMahon told him to go home if he didn’t like the money he was making.

With that, Ryback left Monday Night RAW and went home. He has also been quiet on social media since yesterday.

Well, that’s two missing superstars, but now it’s been realized that there is a third who was absent from the battle royal: Jack Swagger.

Even though it may have been noticed by some last night, Wrestle Chat pointed out that Swagger had been in the graphic for the match, but he was nowhere to be seen when it took place. There has been no word as to why Swagger missed the match and why he didn’t work it.

About a week ago, Swagger had caused a bit of confusion and chaos by posting a tweet saying it was his “last day,” and everyone thought he was leaving WWE. It was soon realized that he meant it was the last day of the European tour, and that was it.

The last time Swagger had a match was April 26, when he lost to Kevin Owens in a taping of Main Event.

So, it’s known why Ryback wasn’t there and it certainly appears as if he won’t be showing up on WWE television again anytime soon. There is also the possibility that he never wrestles in WWE again, but that remains to be seen. The absences of Jack Swagger and Heath Slater are a bit more puzzling, and it’s just odd that they would be promoted earlier on Monday Night RAW, but fail to show up in the battle royal.
