‘RHOBH’ Kyle Richards Reacts To News Of Kim Richards’ Bench Warrant, Denies Possible Arrest?

Is Kyle Richards’ older sister, Kim, heading back to jail?

Although reports last week claimed an arrest warrant had been issued due to Kim’s alleged failure to present proof of her AA meeting attendance, the longtime Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to Twitter on May 2, where she appeared to deny the reports completely.

After All Things Real Housewives shared a report regarding the news of Kim’s possible future arrest, Kyle responded to the site’s Twitter page with a message that read, “NOO that is not true.”

After Kyle Richards shared her tweet, one fan said that despite her comment, she was still concerned for Kim’s sobriety, especially after the reality star admitted that sharing her recovery with fans on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wasn’t the best decision.

According to the All Things Real Housewives report, which was shared last week, a bench warrant was issued for Kim’s arrest after she reportedly failed to meet the stipulations of a plea deal reached in her shoplifting case.

Kyle Richards’ sister was arrested in August of last year after stealing over $600 worth of items from a Target store in Los Angeles. The arrest marked Kim’s second of the year and came just months after she received numerous charges after being arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she had become intoxicated after suffering an alcohol relapse weeks prior.

On April 29, TMZ reported news of the arrest warrant, claiming Kyle Richards’ sister was “jail bound.”

“Kim Richards is staring down an arrest warrant in her shoplifting case because she’s ditching her AA classes… as far as the court is concerned, anyway,” the report stated. “Kim never turned in documentation to prove she’s attended the number of AA classes ordered in her plea deal.”

According to the report, Kim is required to attend 52 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and complete 30 days of community labor, and if she doesn’t, claimed the outlet, she’ll be headed to jail.

Hours after TMZ‘s initial report was shared, the outlet offered an update, claiming a representative of Kyle Richards’ sister appeared in court where he conceded that Kim “had no proof she’d made progress in completing her AA classes or community service.” In turn, the judge withdrew the warrant and scheduled a probation violation hearing for next month.

During the hearing, the judge will determine whether or not Kim has made sufficient progress in her assignments and if she hasn’t, he could send her to jail.

In other Kyle Richards news, the longtime reality star and boutique owner is said to be threatening to quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if her sister is asked to return to the show.

“Kyle put her foot down,” an insider revealed to Life & Style at the end of last month. “She’s concerned the fame and publicity will derail Kim all over again.”

Kim suffered a relapse early last year after going through a rough season with her co-stars, including Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson, which included allegations of a relapse during production (Kim later admitted to taking one of her late husband’s pain pills).

Kim “has finally managed to get sober and take control of her life, but she’s still very vulnerable,” the source explained.
