Kate Upton Shows Off Huge Rock At The Met Gala
While many celebrities and icons of entertainment showed off their greatest fashion trends at last night’s Met Gala, supermodel and actress Kate Upton had a lot more than her gown to show off. Upton posed with her huge rock of an engagement ring while on the red carpet for the Met Gala.
As the Inquisitr reported, Kate Upton is engaged to Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. While the news broke hours before Upton hit the red carpet, the supermodel made it official by flashing her engagement ring for all to see once she hit the event in New York. The ring is believed to be designed by Verlander, which perfectly complimented her silver gown for the affair.
That said, while Upton proudly sported the ring, she went solo, as her fiance was unavailable and instead preparing for a three-game series against Cleveland.

The 23-year-old spoke to E! Online about the exciting time in her life.
“I’m really excited, he asked me right before season started so we’ve been keeping it on the down low for quite a while. So I’m excited to finally be able to share it with the world!”
That said, the pair aren’t looking to run down the aisle anytime soon.
Upton said of their immediate plans, “We are enjoying the engagement period.”

The two have been dating for a few years now but went public for the first time in 2014. Kate Upton showed support for her man ever since and has even been playful about their relationship in the press. When Upton won People Magazine’s Sexiest Woman, Upton said “you’re welcome” to Verlander.
Back in July, the Tigers pitcher opened up about his relationship with Kate Upton. At the time, he told E! Online that their relationship wasn’t at all Hollywood and instead said that they were very normal.
That said, they weren’t without their ups and downs. The couple was among the dozens of celebrities that were hit by the enormous phone hack, which included nude photos of the couple.
Of the time, the Detroit Tigers pitcher said, “Obviously it was tough. I still don’t talk about what happened.”
They made it through the tough time with mutual support.
“I grinded through it…Kate’s there a lot for me, and we’re just normal people. You know, normal relationship–believe it or not.”
In 2014, Verlander was a bit coy about talking about his relationship to Kate Upton, for obvious reasons, but he still had nice things to say about his girlfriend when ESPN analyst Karl Ravech asked about the two.
“I’ve always been pretty private about my private life… It is hard to be private, especially with her, but, you know, I’m in a great spot and just looking to get ready for the season.”
Prior to going public with Verlander, Upton told AskMen.com about what she looks for in a man.
“I need a guy who’s very attractive and they smell nice. It definitely happens more often than you would think when someone comes up and you think, ‘Oh he’s really attractive and seems really nice’ and it just doesn’t work because he smells bad.”
Something else that Upton can’t stand is pick-up lines.
“If you come up to me and use a pick-up line, I’m probably going to just walk away and forget about you. I block them out. They’re not the highlight of my night.”
Looks like Verlander played all of his cards right.
