Ellen’s Most Memorable Child And Teen Stars, From Sophia Grace To Alex From Target

Ellen is not only inspiring, fascinating, and hilarious, but she is also one of the most charismatic and dynamic talk show hosts in the game. The Ellen DeGeneres Show is known for picking up on heartwarming and unusual segments that are packed with positive energy and good vibes, and which are highly likely to be so popular with the audience that they end up going viral.

According to Teen Vogue, some of the best web sensations and sweet segments that Ellen chose featured funny super-cute children, talented child prodigies, adorable friends, and teen sensations.

The audience will never forget guests like 5-year-old Noah Ritter, 14-year-old Daniel, 16-year-old Alex, and 8-year-old Heaven King whose viral videos had humorous, creative and emotional appeal. Noah Ritter became a viral sensation and was dubbed the “Apparently Kid” after being offered the microphone from a news reporter to describe his experience at the Wayne County Fair. In the clip that went viral, Noah Ritter talked about his experience at the County Fair, all while repeating the word “apparently” every few seconds throughout his narration.

Alex, the checkout guy working at a Target retail store, never thought that a candid photograph of his will go viral and make him a teen sensation. The humble, hilarious, and confused Alex shared his moments of glory with Ellen on her show. And in yet another story, Daniel Lara and Joshua Holz became famous after Joshua complimented Daniel with the exclamation “Damn, Daniel” while he was capturing Daniel on video day after day, walking around, smiling and looking cool, and showing off his white Vans among other shoes in his impressive collection.

Ellen invited the two buddies on her show and gifted them a new surfboard and a lifetime supply of white Vans.

Another guest who Ellen plucked from obscurity and turned into an overnight internet sensation is Heaven King, the two-year-old daughter of Tianne King, who became famous after a video which captured the child copying her mother’s complicated moves to Beyoncé’s “Never Let you Go” went viral on the internet. Amazed by Heaven’s talent and excellent moves, Ellen DeGeneres invited Tianne and Heaven to the show and gifted them tickets to see Beyoncé perform in NYC.

Ellen makes it sure that it is not just her everyday viewers and audience members who get to enjoy her show, but her celebrity guests as well. In one of the episodes, Ellen found a way to scare the wits out of Taylor Swift by hiding in the bathroom and hilariously frightening the singer/songwriter. In total, Ellen has scared Taylor Swift eight times.

Undoubtedly, Ellen’s most treasured and memorable guest to date is Sophia Grace Brownlee, who became a hit due to her hilariously adorable duet with Nicki Minaj on Ellen’s show back in 2011. Not only did Sophia Grace and her friend, Rose, end up performing on her show on several occasions, but Ellen also employed the girls to do red carpet interviews for her. Sophia’s performance on Ellen’s show was her launch pad and she has since gone solo, releasing singles on YouTube where her official music videos have been viewed by more than six million people.

According to Hollywood Life, Ellen’s show missed Sophia Grace in 2012 as the child star was busy working on “Pop Star Treats,” her YouTube show and attending the Kids Choice Awards and iHeartRadio music awards.

After a year of not being on the show, Ellen gave the girls passes to the American Music Awards and asked them to once again be her red carpet correspondents. Sophia’s path to glory is attributed to none other than Ellen, as she is credited with bringing Sophia from obscurity directly into the limelight. And Sophia Grace is not the only case. Had it not been for Ellen’s ability to recognize talent and star quality, a number of extraordinary artists like Sophia might have lived in obscurity forever.
