‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Spoilers Season 2 Episode 5: ‘Captive’ [Video]

Fear the Walking Dead is finally proving that there is more story to the zombie apocalypse than just zombies. Episode 5, which is titled “Captive,” will show fans just what kind of danger the human threat is going to pose for the characters moving forward.

One thing that is very clear for Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead is that Madison is leading the charge in terms of characters who have adapted to the right way to survive in the new post-apocalyptic world. There is no doubt that she is the strong one when it comes to making hard decisions, especially when a living person needs to die.

Alicia is also starting to adapt well to what Fear the Walking Dead is giving her. She knows that the best way to survive is not only making the tough choices but also appealing to other people who pose a threat to her. In another life, she may have been a good politician.

But Fear the Walking Dead is about to show fans that it is just as clever and crafty as its older cousin, The Walking Dead. In Episode 5, according to TV Guide, there is going to be the aftermath of a situation that means the core family has been separated, thus giving them new momentum to find each other and survive at the same time.

Before we get into the details for Episode 5, let’s just take a quick look at where we are at with Fear the Walking Dead so far.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, “Blood in the Streets” was a special episode that gave the show a transition from the zombie threat to the living threat. It corresponded back to that radio call, where Alicia almost got duped into making a naïve choice.

Jack, the guy from the radio, tricked them into letting his crew board the Abigail. But once aboard, it was Alicia who recognized his voice and exposed them. That’s when they took the boat hostage, but not before Strand made a break for it in a lifeboat. Of course, the captors shot at him, but they missed. They did hit his lifeboat, and he fought to make sure he could get to land. He also took the radio, so that presents another problem for the Abigail.

So with Strand gone, no one else on Fear the Walking Dead knows how to get the boat going. Travis offers to hotwire it, but that might be useless if they cannot operate it.

Nick, who went ashore before all the excitement, was on a mission for Strand. He finds Luis and from there, and they try to find a way to carry out Strand’s mission on Fear the Walking Dead.

This was also the episode that gave Strand a little back story, which included making some bank off the Hurricane Katrina situation when land was a hot commodity. This also gives Fear the Walking Dead a little time reference for events that came to fruition before the apocalypse started.

The basic plan for Nick and Luis on Fear the Walking Dead is to reach the Abigail and give them some news about how to proceed forward with this new plan that could give them what they need. Their basic strategy at this point is to enter Mexico, but there could be some problems that will come up from that.

Madison, Chris, and Salazar also manage to take power away from Reed when Nick and Luis shoot two of Connor’s (their de facto leader) men. Madison also wastes no time putting a knife in Reed’s back, which Chris takes over and inflicts much pain on the hurt captor.

Next on Fear the Walking Dead, Alicia and Travis are working on a way to get back to their family, and that means putting one over on Connor. But it is Madison and Nick on the other end who are preparing themselves for a full-on conflict that could lead some of their family dead in the end.
