Judge Issues Bench Warrant For Arrest Of ‘RHOBH’ Star Kim Richards, Who Skips AA Meetings

It seems that Real Housewives star Kim Richards still believes she is above the law after various warnings that she must attend AA meetings as part of her probation on criminal charges. Once again, a judge has received a report that Richards has not been attending required AA meetings to help her maintain her sobriety, and this time, the judge has issued a bench warrant for Richards’ arrest. Kim Richards just appeared on RHOBH reunion to say that reality television and sobriety do not go well together.

According to the Inquisitr, just last week on part two of RHOBH reunion, Kim Richards revealed that being on the show did not help her stay sober. In the last year, Richards was arrested twice, once for public drunkenness and assault and the other time for shoplifting from Target. Both arrests were after Richards had fallen off the wagon and was back to drinking heavily. A judge made AA meetings a required part of Richards’ probation, but she has never felt compelled to actually do all of her required probation actions at one time, so the judge has issued a bench warrant, and Richards is now scrambling to get the warrant recalled.

Jezebel is reporting that Kim Richards has been challenged by the judge on several issues of her probation. First, Richards was called in before the judge because she was not doing her court-ordered community service. Now there is a bench warrant for her arrest because she also has not been attending the necessary AA meetings required by her probation. Sources say that Richards got the same plea deal for both cases, and she did everything she could to get out of community service too.

When Richards was on the RHOBH reunion, she talked about working her 12 steps and her struggles with sobriety, but there was no mention that Richards was keeping up her end of the bargain with her probation. In trying to get the bench warrant recalled, a rep for Richards showed up in court to say that Richards has no proof that she has attended the required AA meetings or did the community service.

Although the judge withdrew the arrest warrant, he set a probation violation hearing for June 3. If Richards does not have proof of all of the community service and all of the AA meetings at that time, Richards could once again be sentenced to jail.

The Daily Mail says that if Kim Richards doesn’t get preferred treatment, she will be going to jail for violating her probation in her public intoxication and assault case as well as her shoplifting case in Target. Richards is on probation for three years, and in that time, she was supposed to do 52 AA meetings and 30 days of community labor.

The judge has set her new bail at $26,000, and Richards will have to attend the meeting in June, and not just send a representative like she has done in the past. Richards always has excuses for why she hasn’t completed her required probation duties. Last year, Richards claimed she had hurt her foot, which was why she didn’t do community labor.

Kim Richards will have to provide proof she has either done the community service/labor and attended the meetings or provide yet another doctor’s note as to why Richards claims that she could not do what her probation requires her to do. Sadly for Richards, she has been seen on RHOBH taking long walks with other cast members, so she cannot claim her foot injury from last year has kept her from doing the work.

Do you think that Real Housewives star Kim Richards will actually go to jail for this probation violation, or will Richards avoid punishment?
