Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber Can’t Quit Each Other, But Is He Her Met Gala Date?

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber broke up in 2012, but when it comes to their future, no one really knows what to expect.

Since splitting years ago, Selena Gomez and Bieber have been spotted together numerous times. Just weeks ago, Selena Gomez and Bieber were caught getting flirty on Instagram and days later, she attended one of his concerts in Los Angeles.

Although Selena Gomez and Bieber aren’t currently dating (he’s believed to be romancing 37-year-old Kourtney Kardashian), a May 1 report by Hollywood Life claimed Selena Gomez and Bieber “can’t quit each other.”

As the report explained, Selena Gomez and Bieber are “basically the poster children” of back and forth celebrity relationships, including those of Chris Brown and Rihanna, Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles, and Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick. The report also told fans they “definitely wouldn’t be surprised” to see Selena Gomez and Bieber together again soon.

Around this time last year, Selena Gomez and Bieber got tongues wagging about a possible reunion after they were spotted spending time together at an after party for the Met Gala. Prior to the bash, Bieber told paparazzi, “Selena looked gorgeous at the Met Ball,” and according to E! News, they were seen chatting at the NYC celebration, which was held at the Up & Down nightclub.

As for this year’s Met Gala, Selena Gomez is confirmed to be attending and a Bieber sighting is also possible. While Bieber is currently on tour, his next scheduled show isn’t until Wednesday and it will take place in Brooklyn, New York, which isn’t far from where the Met Gala is held.

Just days ago, Selena Gomez spoke of her upcoming attendance at the Met Gala, revealing she would be attending the event with her longtime best friend, Taylor Swift.

“[Taylor and I] are going with each other,” Selena Gomez revealed during an interview with Access Hollywood, via Teen Vogue on April 30. “It’s so fun, it’s going to be the best. It’s kind of like prom for fashion.”

Selena Gomez and Swift have been close for years and as fans of Selena Gomez know, Swift is not a fan of Bieber. In fact, just last month a source claimed Swift was encouraging Selena Gomez to cut ties with Bieber for good.

“Taylor has been pretty quiet about voicing her opinion on Justin, but she’s now speaking up about him again to [Selena Gomez],” a source told Hollywood Life in April. “Taylor really wants her to cut ties with Justin once and for all. None of this back and forth stuff. Taylor has been telling [Selena Gomez] that once she makes a commitment to shut the door on him completely, she will meet the true man of her dreams.”

As for how Bieber feels about Swift, a second source told Hollywood Life, “He never expects to be her friend and is not looking to be her friend. He blames Taylor for some of his issues with [Selena Gomez] and that will never go away.”

While Selena Gomez has been linked to a number of men after Bieber, including Charlie Puth, Nial Horan and Samuel Krost, her romances, if they were romances at all, were short-lived.

Aside from her complicated love life, Selena Gomez is doing quite well. In addition to landing a new series on Lifetime, she is about to embark on her latest tour.
