The first trailer for Syfy’s Stargate: Universe has made its way online.
The latest spin-off in the Stargate franchise, Stargate Universe started filming in February for a Autumn (Fall) debut. Lou Diamond Phillips, Robert Caryle and Brain J. Smith.
According to reports, this clip is some what different to the one shown at Comic Con, although we’re not sure in which way. I’m not a huge Stargate fan, but the show looks appealing and may well be a big hit with fans.

With Atlantis having only just only just left our screens less than a year ago let us hope that this show doesn't end-up being another attempt to re-launch a franchise that will only get pulled 2/3 of a season down the line.
I am of course thinking of all the 'it already has an established fan-base' type re-launches that have failed misserably over recent months not to mention all the perfectly good new shows that got pulled due to the short-sightedness of some studio executives.
If the show is given some respect, a decent budget (forget the financial crisis and make an investment!) and not overhyped it will do well. I for one have always been a Stargate fan, in part to it's built-in sense of humour, and so I hope it proves to be a good show and runs for many years.
Hurrah for Stargate!
