Ben Affleck’s Batman Could Be In ‘Wonder Woman’ After All

Ben Affleck’s performance as Batman in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice was widely agreed to be one of the few highlights of the blockbuster.

Clearly Warner Bros. thought the same, too, because not only were they quick to make sure that Ben Affleck’s version of the Caped Crusader was in Suicide Squad, but soon after the Man Of Steel sequel was released, it was announced that a solo Batman film had finally been greenlit, which would star and be directed by Affleck.

But if speculation is to be believed, we might be seeing Ben Affleck as Batman again much sooner than his solo outing, as a new image from the set of Wonder Woman has led to rumors that the superhero will appear in the film, too.

These rumors began after Gal Gadot was spotted filming a Wonder Woman scene in Paris at a museum, which featured a huge truck that was emblazoned with a Wayne Enterprises logo. You can check out the image from the set, below:

The sight of a Wayne Enterprises truck on the set of Wonder Woman immediately started speculation that Ben Affleck would be appearing in the film in some capacity.

The fact that the truck has French license plates means that the scene is definitely taking place in Paris, while it also once again showcases the size of Wayne Enterprises, proving that it stretches across the globe.

However, moviegoers immediately assumed that because Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman/Diana Prince is using a Wayne Enterprise truck for her exploits in Paris that she probably comes into contact with Bruce Wayne or Batman at some point in the film, so that he can allow her and her team to use his truck.

If Ben Affleck’s Batman did end up starring in Wonder Woman then it would raise further questions about the film’s structure. Photos from Wonder Woman’s shoot have already proven that the film will at least take place partially in the 1920s, but it’s also believed to be set across a number of decades, too.

The big question is how old Batman will be if or when Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince comes into contact with him. It’s been well-documented that Ben Affleck’s version of the Caped Crusader in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is much older than any previous incarnation that has been seen on screen.

But since Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice showed Wonder Woman and Batman meeting for the first time, it’s more likely that if the pair do come across each other on screen again in the 2017 blockbuster then the scene will actually take place after the antics of Zack Snyder’s heavily maligned superhero hybrid.

But there’s probably more chance that Wonder Woman simply steals or borrows Wayne Enterprises’ truck without asking Bruce Wayne for permission. If that’s the case then it could feature a very small cameo from Ben Affleck.

We have quite a while to wait and see if Ben Affleck actually is in Wonder Woman, as production is still ongoing on the film, and it won’t be released into cinemas until June 2, 2017.

Those of you wanting to see Ben Affleck as Batman can do so currently as Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is still in cinemas. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck will also appear in Suicide Squad, which will hit cinemas on August 5, 2016.
