Kate Middleton Is Planning The Most Adorable First Birthday For Princess Charlotte! [Video]

Princess Charlotte’s first birthday is coming up and according to sources, Kate Middleton has been busy planning the royal affair. Although Kensington Palace has not made it known how exactly Kate, William, and the rest of the royal household will celebrate Charlotte on her big day, insiders have revealed that Middleton has taken the reins to make sure it’s a celebration to remember!

When Princess Charlotte was born, the world was entranced by her adorable face, and no doubt, her first birthday will be something to remember. Since Kate’s family are owners of the online children party superstore, Party Pieces, planning a toddler’s first birthday is something Middleton knows a lot about.

Insider Sara Dixon, who has worked for friends of William and Kate, revealed that for the little princess’s “high profile” celebration,” the invite goes out six months prior to the event,” since potential invitees “have busy diaries.” Because RSVPs would have happened months ago, Middleton and William likely know who will attend the get together.

Since William and Kate have been travelling and attending important events, such as visiting India and Bhutan only to return to Britain for Her Majesty’s 90th birthday party, Charlotte’s big day is likely to be a relaxed and intimate family affair. According to Dixon, one possible party theme includes “something gender-neutral like animals or pretty gingham cotton bunting with elegant lunch settings and canapés for the adults.”

Nursery rhymes are another possible theme Kate and William might consider. Carol Middleton, who owns Party Pieces along with her husband, is fond of Beatrix Potter themes for children’s events, so Peter Rabbit might be making an appearance at Charlotte’s get together. When George turned one in 2014, Peter Rabbit was the theme at a celebration his grandmother, Carol Middleton, threw for the royal prince, and Kate was enchanted with the party’s theme.

According to Hollywood Life, grandmother Carol Middleton shared with parents that “Beatrix Potter’s characters are timeless and perfect for both boys and girls,” adding that a party’s theme “can be an effective way to personalize [an event]” Middleton also wrote that whether parents “decide to keep it small and intimate or opt for a much bigger gathering, your little ones first birthday is certainly something to celebrate,” so we know that Charlotte’s first birthday will be special.

It’s likely Kate and William will hold the celebration outside, since there’s likely to be other children there, including 2-year-old George, who is well-known for his mischievous and boisterous personality. Naturally, like all children, George will surely be excited for his little sister’s big day.

Without a doubt, “George will enjoy all the birthday festivities,” Dixon confessed, adding that plenty of the boy’s friends will be invited. Like all big brothers, George is sure to “help Charlotte open all her gifts – older siblings love to do that!”

And don’t forget that Kate Middleton is a talented photographer, so naturally, she will want to make sure everything is caught on film. Earlier this year, a spokesperson for William and Kate released photos to the media that Kate took of Charlotte and George, revealing that Middleton is quite a gifted artist. Once the party is over, we can likely expect lots of photos of Charlotte from Kate.

Although it’s not clear whether Queen Elizabeth will attend the festivities, the little girl will likely visit her great grandmother so the Queen can wish her a happy first birthday. When George turned one, William and Kate Middleton took him to see his great grandmother, where he had a special moment with Her Majesty as the royal wished the prince well on his special day.
