Leah Messer Wants To Quit ‘Fake’ TV Show ‘Teen Mom 2,’ But Contract Won’t Allow Her To?

Leah Messer is reportedly “over” Teen Mom 2. However, according to one report, she may not be able to quit her role on the long-running MTV reality series.

Following numerous Twitter rants against the network, which claim they’ve edited the show against her, a source has revealed Leah Messer is locked in a contract that does not allow her to leave the series.

“[Leah Messer] probably would, but she can’t quit because of her agreement,” a source claimed to Radar Online on April 29.

Earlier this month, an episode of Teen Mom 2 featured Leah Messer sitting down with her ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, to discuss the end of their relationship, and although the scene made it appear that Leah Messer was eager to reconcile while Calvert was less on board with the idea, Leah Messer claimed the feelings were likely mutual.

“I’m 99.9 % sure those feelings were mutual,” Leah Messer wrote after the Teen Mom 2 episode aired. “I could go in detail, but wont. Oh, how I love this fake a** TV show. #SoOverIt.”

“The show did get edited to look like [Leah Messer] was the one who did all of that, which isn’t true,” the Radar Online source explained. “The show keeps on editing it to look so different than it really is. [Leah Messer] is upset, but she’s not shocked [by the editing]. She’s kind of over it to be honest.”

“The show is lame,” the source added.

As for why Leah Messer felt compelled to speak out after her filmed dinner with Calvert, a second source claimed she believed MTV favored Calvert in the editing room.

“[Leah Messer] wrote that because the show cut out everything on Jeremy’s side,” an industry source told People Magazine last week. “He was the one who was begging her to come back and to give him another chance. He was the one that coordinated the date and to try to make it work.”

Leah Messer cheated on Calvert with Corey Simms in late 2013 while she was married to Calvert and he was married to wife Miranda. But according to the source, Calvert was ready to forgive and forget despite his allegations in late 2014 that his then-wife had a second affair with Robbie Kidd.

Weeks ago, during one of her previous rants against MTV, Leah Messer told fans it was “sad” that her editor had manipulated viewers during Teen Mom 2 Season 7.

“It’s so sad how the person behind the editing can even live a happy life by editing to manipulate the audience watching. It makes me feel like my story just isn’t enough,” she wrote.

Leah Messer then seemingly threatened to quit Teen Mom 2.

“It hurts to feel BETRAYED by the ones I THOUGHT I could trust with my story. It goes to show you how ‘THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD’ really is,” Leah Messer went on. “I hope to continue to share my story but I REFUSE to allow it to be twisted for the benefit of a NETWORK!”

Before filming Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Leah Messer took to Twitter to tell fans she would not be returning to the show but that she wished her co-stars well as they continued. A short time later, she began filming.
