Bon Jovi, Counting Crows sign up for LEGO Rock Band

LEGO and Rock Band. It’s just a natural fit, right? At least, it must seem that way to EA’s accountants; both are franchises with multi-hojillion-selling videogames behind them. The crushingly inevitable result? LEGO Rock Band, due out this November 30th on PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Nintendo DS. It’s a cash cow with the potential to crap gold.

Anyhow, the blocktastic music game got another five songs added to its growing track list today:

  • “Another Brick In The Wall” by Pink Floyd
  • “Rock The Block” by Krokus
  • “Yellow Man” by Randy Newman
  • “Brick By Brick” by Iggy Pop
  • “Choke On It” by Death

Oh, I jest, obviously. The real list, minus my lame jokes:

  • “You Give Love a Bad Name” by Bon Jovi
  • “In Too Deep” by Sum 41
  • “Accidentally in Love” by The Counting Crows
  • “Aliens Exist” by Blink 182
  • “Tick Tick Boom!” by The Hives

If LEGO Rock Band is new to you, you should probably know that there’s not a lot of difference between this and the non-LEGO version. In fact, it’s only the fact that your avatars are built from LEGO that differentiates the two (and who watches the avatars while playing these games?). The five new tracks will join this little lot in the final build:

  • “Song 2” by Blur
  • “Kung Fu Fighting” by Carl Douglas
  • “The Final Countdown” by Europe
  • “I Want You Back” by Jackson 5
  • “Boys and Girls” by Good Charlotte
  • “So What” by Pink
  • “Breakout” by Foo Fighters
  • “A-Punk” by Vampire Weekend
