Jinger Duggar Breaks Down Over ‘Unreal’ Josh Duggar Scandal During ‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’ Finale

Jinger Duggar has been one of the quietest siblings over the last year. She has remained focused on photography and doing what she loves without having to be in the spotlight. When Josh Duggar’s betrayals were revealed last year, Jinger remained calm and stayed on the sidelines. Since beginning to film for Jill and Jessa: Counting On, she has opened up a lot more. Fans have watched her interact with her siblings, and they now have a better understanding of who Jinger Duggar is now that the season finale is finally airing.

At just 22-years-old, Jinger Duggar has a lot going for her. She is part of a huge family, all of them very close. Duggar has been pursuing her love of photography, even doing photo shoots for her nieces and nephews. Behind all of the love and adoration, Jinger has been hiding a lot of pain. According to People, Jinger Duggar was blindsided by the “unreal” scandal Josh Duggar brought down upon the family. The reports of molestation were known throughout the family, so the shock for his siblings wasn’t as terrible as the affair and pornography addiction revelations. Jinger hasn’t spoken out much about the ordeal, but she finally did during an interview for part one of the Jill and Jessa: Counting On finale. Fans were surprised at how deeply she was affected, especially since there has not been a lot of talk about it openly between the siblings.

Fans have rallied behind the Duggar family during their scandals, but finally, the siblings are shedding light on the impact they sustained. Jinger Duggar has been an active participant in Jill and Jessa: Counting On. She is now widely known by fans, and her opinions matter. After watching her break down and cry during the finale, many have spoken out about the heartbreak. TLC initially canceled the parent show, 19 Kids and Counting, after the molestation scandal broke. The Duggar children, including Jinger, were devastated. After a three-part special in December, the network decided to bring them back with a focus on the Duggar siblings instead of the family as a whole.

There has been a lot of hatred spewed about the Duggar family, and it has affected Jinger and her siblings differently. Jessa Seewald shared how she felt duped after speaking out about Josh Duggar and forgiving him. Both she and Jill Dillard spoke out about the scandal and being the victims, stating they forgave their brother. Months later, his pornography addiction and infidelity were brought to light. All of the girls felt embarrassed and duped, but most of all Jessa and Jill. Jinger did acknowledge that she still does love her brother, but didn’t elaborate on what their relationship was like now.

Next week is the second part of the season finale for Jill and Jessa: Counting On, and will likely show more of Jinger’s battle with what happened over the last year. There has been no word on whether or not the show would be renewed, but rumors indicate it is unlikely. Advertisers have pulled back because of the show and the message it sends about Josh Duggar and his choices. Jinger is not active on social media, but she is often shown in photos from her siblings or on the family account. While she is not yet courting, fans are hoping that she may be the next one to walk down the aisle. She is the fourth Duggar daughter, with two of three of her older sisters already married with children. Jinger Duggar is quickly becoming one of the fan-favorites, and they are hoping the show will get renewed to see where she goes with her photography.
